Suddenly this hail storm came out of no where. Luckily I was yapping away about love bites on the phone to my friend Emily in LA and wasn't out riding yet. And then the Sun came out. I've never seen the Bike parking at OHSU dental school so full. Just completed my 7th visit to Aaron my dental student. Today's filling was not as rough as last time, when I had an almost root canal. Ah the pain!
Poppies, poppies, poppies and other varieties of desert wildflowers. In terms of diversity, I think it is close to 2005 and 1998. Taken near the Bajada Nature Trail at the south end of Joshua Tree National Park

I have spun this yarn named "Springs" for the Monthly Spinning Theme on Tricotin.com's forum which was "Overstwisted Yarns".
I have tried to make 2 even 1 ply coiled yarns, by auto-plying each yarn while spinning them. It is a technique that needs a bit of training before being mastered! But is is worth the go! Then I plied these 2 geant springs into one strange yarn I became obsessed with. (Sorry for the picture spamming!)

Marker 778 in Charters (KY9 & 989): Site of one of the most popular health resorts along Ohio River, 1845-60, seven miles west. Mineral water from spring widely used for medicinal purposes. Resort was easy of access by boat and drew many out of state guests until destroyed by fire, 1860. Decline in use of spring water followed. Twenty other antebellum watering places flourished in Kentucky.
