我的首張夏季銀河，也是在香港第一次似乎地用肉眼看到銀河，哈哈太興奮喇，在水口這個觀察銀河很出名並且容易去的地方遇到。途中找到一條小河來做引導，配合下就成了雙河。

Sometimes, an orange is just an orange. To be honest, the word "orange" fascinates me. Yeah, I know, I don't get it either.
Sometimes military aviation is just best served in monochrome. This is one of those times and I hope you agree. It's hard to get decent rotor blur on a helicopter, but especially when the UH-1Y Venom - an evolution from the UH-1 Huey - is coming in to land Marines for the MCAS Miramar MAGTF Demo. Sometimes when you shoot it feels like you are chasing the light and the moment. The photographs are all fleeting. They disappear just before you arrive. Always out of reach or on the other side of the street. When you finally see a photograph, the traffic seems to block your way, as you try and dash across Broadway, the photo vanishing just as you get there.
This was the case yesterday. I was walking up Broadway in Brooklyn. The light was a good and clean winter light, shining through the overhead tracks, but I could not seem to get a single decent photograph. They all proved elusive.
I arrived at Flushing and Broadway. There was soul music playing on the corner near a man selling sunglasses. A store front was ripped open, and Chinese construction workers wetted down a muddy street, while people crisscrossed the intersection.
A saw this girl coming down the street with matted hair, and a man entered the frame from the left the light catching his face. I pushed the camera toward his face and snapped the photograph.

Tip.
Sometimes props can be your lighting gear. Like in this case the beautiful #elinchromltd FS30 fresnel.
But it can be anything of course.
By using things you already own as props you not only save money but you also give the model something that makes posing easier and helps with story telling.
Props can be lighting gear, cameras, tools etc. be creative. But before you buy stuff (also a good idea) make sure you first look around you. You'll be suprised by what you already own.
Sometimes you have to put your feet up, kick back and enjoy the light.

Sometimes we find ourselves having to choose a way, among many, being this a difficult choice by not really knowing whether it will be the good one.
I guess our life is defined by all our choices, with our successes and our errors. It is more the attitude, that shows who we are.
Anyway, if we could foresee our future, life would be too boring :-)
A veces nos vemos teniendo que elegir un camino, de entre muchos, siendo esto una decisión difícil al no saber si será la correcta.
Supongo que nuestra vida se define por todas nuestras decisiones, con nuestros aciertos y nuestros errores. Es más la actitud, la que muestra quiénes somos.
De todos modos, si pudiéramos conocer el futuro, la vida sería aburridísima :-)
Once in a while, through some fortuitous combination of experience in posing, flattering lighting, and just pure dumb luck, a picture results that, in my mind, truly shows me as I would like to be seen.
So, please forgive me for these moments of self-aggrandizement; I am still amazed I can do this at all!
