Not every day you see this walking down the road... well I suppose if you living near to the swimming pool, it may be a different story.
I received an email this morning from a very kind fellow flickrite indicating that my photostream has been a bit out of whack since the end of November. In the email, she told me that she has only been able to view three of my photos during that time frame (can see the title and comments, but not the photo). It might be case specific, but has anybody else had that problem? Just curious...this being a photo site and all. :o)
Persepolis (Old Persian: Pārsa; Modern Persian: Pārse – پارسه; "Persia"),[2] literally meaning "the Persian city,"[3] also known as the Throne of Jamshid (Taxt e Jamšid – تخت جمشيد), was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC).
Persepolis is situated 60 km northeast of the city of Shiraz in Fars Province, Iran. The earliest remains of Persepolis date back to 515 BC. It exemplifies the Achaemenid style of architecture. UNESCO declared the ruins of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979.[4]
.
In an effort to conclude my photographic study of Persepolis, I am posting several random images from this fascinating archaeological site in southwestern Iran.
There are so many more details I could have captured if only I knew then what I know now. That's life :-) Maybe there will be a next time.

Enjoy your weekend.
Old, never made the cut.
But looking through my past work now, I realize that this photograph means more to me right now than it did back in July.
Everything about this symbolizes something for me, especially the blurry, wilted flowers.
How is everyone doing? You're all beautiful, I hope you know that.
Things have changed so much. I'm just trying to get some of the happy things of old back. Starting with photography.
And that's going to be easier to do now, since today I recieved my 35mm f/1.8 in the mail! Cut my finger pretty bad on the cardboard box (only me), but nevertheless I am so happy and simply cannot wait to try it out. But that will have to wait, because as of now I must get ready for a New Year's party with some of my dearest friends.
I hope you all had a fabulous 2012, and I'm so sorry I wasn't here to share some precious moments of it with you. But I will try my hardest to be around in this coming year.
2012 has had so many up's and down's. And I know, that's true for everyone and it's as cliche as it gets. But I'm not good at putting my personal thoughts out there in simple words, as if I were talking to the person next to me.
I don't know. I can't say that I wouldn't trade this year if I had the choice. So many changes. I now attend a public school, for one thing. I don't like change. I don't like having to adjust. And I definitely have had to this year.
If I say one thing, it's that 2012 has aged me. I have had to hold my chin high and be mature beyond my years in so many situations that I was so unfamiliar with. I will miss every second of my extendend childhood. It lasted much longer than most. And for this, I am truly grateful.
Happy new year!

We got stuck in a traffic jam...suddenly , noticed these barbed wires with dried flowers hanging so beautifully and a colourful evening sky, peeping through the wires...instantly took this picture. :-)

... when looking at this glass teapot, on a black granite surface, that is partially filled with tea made from a handmade Jasmine tea ball. I like how the condensation droplets add texture to the otherwise smooth glass surface of the teapot as seen from above.
Have a great new week. Thanks for visiting my (peggyhr) new Flickr stream..
I got a couple of cute mug sets for Christmas (complete with hot chocolate mix and marshmallows)....after playing in the snow...(shoveling) I thought I'd break one out and take a shot. Mmm...amaretto chocolate.
The world is your snowball, see how it grows
Thats how it goes whenever it snows
The world is your snowball just for a song
Get out and roll it along
It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts
Take a walk with your favorite girl
It's a sugar date, what if spring is late
In winter it's a marshmallow world.

Nature, Jungle Flower.
Alright here's how this went down.
About 7AM Pumpkin and I are off to
the side of our house in the jungle.
Now even though it's daylight out
it's still very dark in a lot of the
jungle. Handheld Sigma 105
2.8 macro/Nikon D300 in
my hand still only a few
images were usable.
Obviously a tripod
should've been
used but it is
what it is.
None of the Pumpkin photos came out.
To dark and she was always moving.
Why was Pumpkin The Bumpkin al-
ways moving you ask ? Because
she was tracking a Siam Cobra.
Snake escaped into the river.
Just playing around having
some fun with Pumpkin.
Welcome 2 my world.

One of the most beautiful towns we've ever visited. Positano in on the Amalfi coast in Italy. This vista greeted us as we approached from the sea. Best large.

It always pays to be truly aware what's going on around you... in all directions. These folk clearly missed this young lady performing this gymnastic move.

In the movie The Phantom Menace movie, the first in the Star Wars series. There was a race featuring "Podracers"... these had power couplings that linked multiple engines together with a plasma discharge beam. This prevented the engines from becoming unstable and detaching.
Perhaps this is where they got the idea... if not I've got no idea what's going here.

Old part of Sarajevo, Bosnia, called Bash Charshiya that means a great market or town dating from Ottoman period, Balkans..where the west meet East, where the scents and spices dance, where people are always smiling, where just walking around you will get so many invites for a coffee and friendly chat, where nobody will ever ask you where are you coming from, but how are you friend , a place from my heart...

We walked miles in Montreal Canada and came across a run down part of the city which had street after street full of buildings with graffiti and wall art. It certainly got my camera clicking.
