I took this photograph of this butterfly at SixFlags Discovery Kingdom, in Vallejo Ca.

I played around with this photograph in photoshop, I'm not to sure if I really cared much for the orginal photograph.

I had fun playing. LOL!

Cotton on the roadside, cotton in the ditch.

We all picked the cotton but we never got rich.

Daddy was a veteran, a southern democrat.

They oughta get a rich man to vote like that.

Song, song of the south.

Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth.

Gone, gone with the wind.

There ain't nobody looking back again.

I used a ring soft box which has became my new favorite toy, and I also used an off camera flash from the right side set at 1/64 and I got the dark shadow I wanted on his face. Hope you guys enjoy.

We had a Spring clean today. Danny hasn't been very well so we spent the day indoors to try and sweat it out of him.

A quadriptych for today of one sleepy hamster. It's been a while since I've done one :)

This week I've been playing about with some of my photos - maybe because I wanted to see if I was capable of controlling a couple of options in photo editing , which up to now I've never managed, because for those of you that already know me well I don't really understand all this new technology !! This is the first one that I've decided to upload - a normal photo of a bowl of grapes - cut out from the canvas giving it a slightly different look !!!

I took this picture last September.

It was dawn and I had a lot of things to do. A quick glance out of the window revealed a peculiar set of clouds. I only had a few seconds to go grab the camera and aim a quick shot to the quickly fading and metamorphosing clouds... A few seconds earlier it was livelier, a few seconds later it was gone.

The only processing done has been to lighten colors as the original was pretty dark.

If you gonna do a window display at night... this takes a bit of beating. Well done Marks & Spencer, for leading the way in forecourt displays.

My eyes are what I get the most compliments on so in this photo I have tried to make them the center of attention. My husband can never get enough of them...:) I have always found brown eyes to be the least exciting of all the eye colors but that is just my opinion.

I went out this morning, cold as it was, and took some photos at one of my favorite places, Melton Hill Park. These little guys were everywhere. It reminded me of one of my other flickr friends, Pat, who has lots of photos of a bird similar to this. Don't know for sure what this one actually is, but I'll bet someone can let me know.

Hope you all like the change of pace here! More to come!

Staying on the bird theme:-)

Can you remember your dreams?

Do you have insomnia?

(Waking up frequently and without an apparent reason?)

Do you have to get up to urinate several times during the night?

You meet a diffused and confused rainbow fairy with such flare. Such as this... well in my case not while still sober anyway.
