These are the bottom layer of the fish preparation that my brother put together for Easter this year.

With nothing to do on a Friday night I decided to head out with my camera and just shoot whatever I came across. No extra worrying about ISO, or framing, or composition. Just go with the basic. If you see something interesting, shoot it.

I always love looking for the artistic slicing DW does on the bread surfaces. The huge miche is always most interesting because there's such a large surface. This was 2kg. I'm almost scared to think how big the original one was (or how DW got it into and out of the oven)!!!

Lichen on tree branches. Saw this above me while sitting on a swing bird watching. I liked the color and texture of the lichen, but also couldn't take my eye off this one branch that was cleanly cut and had twigs spiraling out from it. Funny the things a person notices when you're sitting still without distraction.
