A slice of tangerine......back lit again by a small candle......please read....to all my friends here......

OK...this is again with my new camera, if you looked in yesterday, you will know, I now have the Fuji S 9500.......what I didn't say yesterday and I have debated whether or not to say and have decided to spill the beans.....is, that when I ordered this camera I made an agreement with myself that I would give up smoking, I know a stupid habit, which probably most of you didn't know I did or didn't do anyway.....but there we have it, I had my last cigarette at 10 am Thursday 11th January......it is now 8 pm Saturday 13th, this is the longest I have gone without a cigarette, since I started smoking 20 odd years ago.......

If I don't comment on your photos or forget to say thank you...please make allowances...... I am determined to QUIT!!!......but sometimes I have to leave my PC and be busy DOING something else.....I am finding today really hard.....probably because it's the weekend....

Anyway I just wanted to share this with you....in-case you were wondering why I'm being a bit sporadic with photos and comments etc....

Day 3.....Smoke Free Gale....I'm not even sure if I have made much sense here, but I'm sure you get the gist of it.......

I'll keep you updated,

There are so many other reasons why I want to give up smoking, most of the other reasons are far, far more important than a new camera......but I'm using the camera as my prop, instead of a cigarette...!!

A photo from my Android phone. Always tasty, had the chicken slice and one plain, had the other for breakfast.

An iconic product shot of a slice of bread ..

For my photography study (subject Photography Technique) we had to reproduce an image of a slice of bread .. the assignment was to learn to:

- properly read the lighting from the original image

- find a bread slice that looked alike as much as possible (iconic shape)

- try to place the crumbs as in the original

The idea is that you learn to watch and be able to, for example, reproduce your own photo when your costumer decides 'I want the EXACT same shot but then with white bread' - a month after the shoot :)

probably boring to you ;)
