Based on its shape, I would guess that this sign dates from the 1950s or 60s. Its base was originally outdoors but has since been incorporated into an addition to the building.
A sign on the main street as you enter the town from the south that welcomes you to Tenterfield. There's one at the other end of town too to welcome people coming from the north.
Arctic Building, downtown Louisville. I love how fixing the bricks resulted in the sign turning to noise at the end.

Couldn't quite get the massive grandeur of this sign in the shot. It has huge triangular beams holding it up.

a job for a sign making company. love the slick curve of the building. course, the gorgeous porsches weren't too hard on the eyes either! turned out, i really enjoyed these two long days of architectural shots - buildings stay still for HOURS at a time, and it's usually just a matter of waiting for the clouds to move in the right spot :)

One of the old, cracked, neglected signs for Southside Plaza, a large shopping center at the intersection of Hull Street Road and Belt Boulevard. Unfortunately, the shopping center is in about as bad shape as the rest of the area due to general neglect, high crime, and disinterest in its upkeep.

Perhaps the sign doesn't say it all, but it is rather eloquent in its own way. Incidentally, although I don't celebrate Christmas, I plan to take a sort of 'holiday hiatus' from posting for the next ten days or so.
Views have been down recently and I suspect it's mainly because potential viewers have their attention
focused elsewhere.
