Sign for the Majestic Theater, in Concordia, Kansas.

I was picking up my "fixed" Apple CPU from the Apple store at this mall, and liked this sign...good colors.. it was for kids clothing.

This is from the St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., in the Medical Arts building. I thought it was kind of passive aggressive to the employees. I'm not sure I care for its tone.

Found this great rusty old sign lit by street lamp on an old workshop in Georgetown, WA

Mareeba, QLD, Australia

The shire of Mareeba has built its strength through the sustainable level of agriculture including coffee, exotic fruit and a once thriving tobacco industry which has now largely been replaced with sugar cane and mangoes.

Found in the Tenterden village museum.

Traffic sign - Stop! Serously, you have to stop. Don't drive. :) Not to mention it's much better to go on foot through the woods like this.

The Coke sign that stands over the intersection of Marietta and Peachtree is a replica of the sign that used to exist near this spot... I remember asking my parents to drive past it at night, because I loved watching it with all its animated patterns.

I think the old one was just on a pole; it definitely didn't have the extra advertising signs down below it.

the candy store at the mall is going out of business, so everything is half off, and everyone in the world is taking the opportunity to be five years old again and just buy bags of candy in bulk, because no one ever really gets to do that anymore. meg and i wandered around the store, tasting every flavor of jellybelly we possibly could. when i saw this charming "no sampling" sign [oops.], i thought it might be funny to take a picture of it, with meg's hand clearly going to sample the jelly beans anyway. she thought it would be funnier if she just went right for it [see above], and we then realized that we could take this concept much, much further, into the depths of ridiculousness. [we are REALLY GOOD AT THAT in general.] thus, we, um, borrowed the sign, and this photoset was born.

Amazingly, with all the time I used to spend very near to where this sign is, I'd never seen it before. It's at about 2000 S. a bit west of 900 E. The little windowed top bit has Things in it (shown in detail in this other photo). They look like the kind of Things a pharmacy / drugstore would have carried some decades ago, but it's hard to tell without the hefty telephoto.

Any of you other Salt Lakers know what this used to be?

On update: Thanks to slc_guy for supplying the store's name.
