Sutton Motor-In. Drive-in theater on Route 146 in Sutton, Massachusetts. Originally opened in 1947, closed in 1996, cinematreasures.org/theater/7800/
I wanted to get a "Welcome to Canada" sign, so I had my camera all ready when we crossed the bridge into Canada. No sign presented itself, so I put the camera away. 30 miles later we saw one - we had already been in Canada for a half hour, why did they put it there? So I got this sign instead. Next time, I'll be ready.

Villa Francesca is another one of those great Italian restaurants in in the North End and has one of the largest painted signs in the city. This well-hidden 4-story-tall beauty is tucked into the left side of the building and is blocked from view if you are walking from Hanover Street. (#84 of 100 in the Boston Signage Project)
Arctic Building, downtown Louisville. I love how fixing the bricks resulted in the sign turning to noise at the end.

The name derives from 'tree house' - hence Trowse - as depicted by the sign. It used to have two people standing under the tree but they seem to have vanished.
Couldn't quite get the massive grandeur of this sign in the shot. It has huge triangular beams holding it up.

I’m pretty sure I could sign a tortoise with a POSCA marker.
One of the old, cracked, neglected signs for Southside Plaza, a large shopping center at the intersection of Hull Street Road and Belt Boulevard. Unfortunately, the shopping center is in about as bad shape as the rest of the area due to general neglect, high crime, and disinterest in its upkeep.

Perhaps the sign doesn't say it all, but it is rather eloquent in its own way. Incidentally, although I don't celebrate Christmas, I plan to take a sort of 'holiday hiatus' from posting for the next ten days or so.
Views have been down recently and I suspect it's mainly because potential viewers have their attention
focused elsewhere.
