Pictures from setup at Brickworld LEGO convention, Chicago, IL on Thursday, June 18, 2009.

22nd March 2010.

This is my typical darkfield setup. My "studio" consists of softbox, triggers, stands, kitchen table (it's only a small flat) and home made timber frame. I'd love to get a couple of Wimberley plamps but they're just too expensive for me at the moment.

Only 18kv for the moment :-)

my setup for the projections for the party. video feedback through water and smoke + dvd input = weirdness

The complete initial setup of prerequisites for the real 360 degrees iPad unboxing experience - including the box from the post office (hopefully containing an iPad).

This is a setup I used for several of the pictures marked with descriptions.

This was a pretty interesting shoot. It was about like I imagined though, a car is just a giant mirrored product shot. Watch your angles and reflections really closely and you're guaranteed to get something usable.

The setup as I was getting ready to do some capping.

Home Office/Setup Evolution.

I have been working from home now for over a year and needs/requirements have changed. Like many other people, I was made redundant in 2020. I was lucky to find another job fairly quickly hence the update.

Here is my ghetto setup for the last few shots i did. im stuck in a tiny dorm in korea and i dont have many resources, so i gotta get inventive:

Canon 5dmkii w/ 100mm f/2.8 macro lens

cardboard box robot i built

crumpled tinfoil behind, with a propped up iphone displaying a bright red picture.

LED flashlight going through my external flash's diffuser to give the robot a smidgeon of light.
