The Extreme Home Makeover gang is rebuilding a house in our area. Rumor on Saturday was that Ty was going to be at the animal store in Old Town to buy an aquarium for the family. I walked down there, but either Ty had left or had not arrived.

The wait staff, bless their souls, felt really bad that we had to sit around and wait for more than half an hour for us to get our reserved table. They clattered some plates down in front of us, with some jars of house-made mayonnaise, and gave us cones of cod fritters and pork rinds (oreilles de crisse, or "Christ's ears") to tide us over. (No pictures of these, because lighting was even more crap at this counter.) I'm not sure if they took extra pity upon us because we didn't even sit down until 11:00pm.
Happiness is freshly-made pork rinds. Oh God, so delicately porky.

This awesome truck belongs to Grant Lankford, www.flickr.com/photos/grantlank/
If you look close, you can see Grant's SB-600 on a tripod against my lightstand as well. We were both firing through the same umbrella and using the same overall setup. (Except he shoots with a D300.)
