This is my light setup for the SBs I used in the darkfield wineglass shot. The SBs are attached to my DIY worklights. The worklights themselves were not used in the wineglass shot.

See product shot here.

I think I actually prefer the setup to the final shot today. Took me a few mins to work out how to light the tank up, so I ended up putting the lights straight in the top of the tank! Boo Ya! Now the fishies are all blind and keep swimming into stuff… sorry Phil!

The left flash was at 1/16 and the right was at 1/8

The finished shot can be seen here.

A cloudy morning with drizzle starting at any moment. The flash gave the pop I was looking for on the skin tone.

used for this article on DIY grid spots

On the left side of my office wall I have my GTD Workflow & Organizing Chart

Because of the bushes in the foreground of the final shot, I couldn't get a good shot for the setup shot so I moved a bit to the left to take the setup shot. Mer is looking in the direction of where I was standing for the final shot, just to give an idea of where I was standing.

Setup shot for "Mobius" and "blue". Single flash used for lighting subject and background.

Setup Shot for 087/365 So Much Work To Do.

My humble workspace

a cropped fisheye of how we setup things, it was divided into two sections one was using available window light and reflectors and the other was a studio lighting setup.

A few of the results from this setup should appear in the next few weeks.

My humble workspace

Setup for measuring 532nm laser excitation fluorescence (and Raman scattering). The filters manage the laser light through the lightpath. A 2mm tsavorite is placed on a non-fluorescent Al foil. A Prior micromanipulator manages the pointing of the fibre collimator.
