It was a good couple of hours spent rooted to one spot as the sun set and the clouds cleared. The Tyne became lovely and still but I rather like the more abstract effect the water is giving to the reflection.
Holding up at Lee Street in Vicksburg, M267 is going to be in for a long wait. Between maintainers out along with one westbound having to run around the other getting a relief crew, it will be about 3 hours before they are back on the move towards Monroe and Shreveport.
Here I am, settling back into 'normal' life after my holiday and trying to get back into the swing of things. The weather was lovely yesterday, so I spent a couple of hours enjoying the gardens at a local National Trust property, Nymans. The dahlias are really starting to look good and there are lots more to come.
Needless to say, Cookie is VERY happy to be home too. I don't think she's stopped smiling yet. :)

In the bowl that makes up a portion of the Cradle of Forestry here in Appalachia one may come across an intriguing sight. Mist gathered within the neat mountain surround, laying silently in the morning light. As the sun rises and begins to penetrate through the valleys into the cradle, you may find yourself transfixed by the peaceful moment bellow. Shining rays and deep shadows surrounding this cradle of fog, trees pushing up out of this lowland cloud, truly a moment to be appreciated, a moment in time to be cherished, and if you’re able, to pass it along to someone else.

Went back to North Yorkshire for the weekend. Settle is one of my favourite places. Such a beautiful small market town on the edge of the dales. Well worth a visit.

I've really been at a creative loss for the past few weeks, so i tried to challenge myself. This is my first *successful* levitation shot, and i like it.
Thank you, Katelyn for helping me with editing this.
Eight months since being moved to Galiano Island, our caboose has settled in nicely. One side has been painted, and the interior continues to be gutted, which has been a slightly harder task than I imagined. The caboose and another workhorse pose on a cloudy July afternoon.
With the icy water streaming in the nearby tunnel, it's a bit cold. But it will help in the oncoming struggle!
