our house is tucked back in those trees across the field, just beyond the fog, right about at center.
The low cloud which has blanketed the fells for much of the day is just beginning to break up as the southbound Cumbrian Ranger charter train passes Birkett Common. Class A4 Bittern, making a rare appearance on the Settle to Carlisle line, is in fine form.

Taken the same gorgeous evening the Beach called my name. I wish I could have stopped time. The colors, the light and the slight breeze made the evening most enjoyable.
I'm back from my Tokyo and Kyoto trip :)
Here's one of the pictures from Kyoto :)
Miss everyone, how's everyone doing? :)

47479 powers away from Settle on 3rd December 1983, unsure of the working or if the date is actually correct, I can only assume it is as it's the details that were provided with the negative as sold.

Another from our two day session in around the Settle and Carlisle area.
A classic S&C location, shot into the sun.......... Would a film camera have coped with the harsh backlighting?
I bought a Settle-Carlisle line notebook in the gift shop. I’ve chosen this out of eighteen I took at the station!
The wasp kept rebuilding its nest on the head of a screw in a sheet of plywood. My wife’s allergic to the stings and has already been stung three times so I kept on knocking them down. Finally it moved on.
I finally managed to venture out with the camera on Friday evening to my neglected favourite local spot - Thornton Reservoir, Leicestershire.
It had been a lovely day and I decided it was time I tried to get another sunset.
It wasn't the best I've seen there but non the less there was some colour in the sky and the reservoir was fairly calm allowing for some reflections.
Thank you for looking and for any comments you may leave.
37521 / 47790 (47593) ‘Galloway Princess’ at Settle on 1Z40 08:35 Skipton – Appleby, the first of a planned 3 per day, 6 days per week for 2 months charter service operated by Rail Charter Services / The S&C Railway Development Company, on 20/07/20.
Settle is a charming little town in Ribblesdale with some of the most stunning scenery in Yorkshire, England. Its layers of homes and shops stack up the hillside and are bordered by the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain. There are dramatic scars, cliffs and caves in the neighbourhood. It's on the list of my dream places to one of which I hope to move one day!
