Taken with my Leica M7 and Summicron 50mm f2.0 (1989) on Kodak BW400CN 135, 400 ASA film. Processed and scanned by the excellent Aperture Photography in Rathbone Place, London W1. The best place for secondhand Leica and medium format gear, as well as for film developing, printing and scanning.

My favorite place to shop, filled with salvaged building materials saved from the landfill and waiting to be reused. Located in San Francisco at 701 Amador Street in the Bayview District. The MUNI 15 bus stops at 3rd & Cargo Way a block from Building Resources. Note that the MUNI drivers have been pretty cool about letting me on the bus with an armful of used lumber, which is pretty nice.

Just a small selection I found in Richard Caplan Leica shop in Bury St, London. The nice chap found me a a rear end cap for my Elmarit 90 :-)

Such a cold day and my new winter coat that I have ordered is on a 2-4 week delivery! So instead I am keeping warm by layering. At least my new snood has turned up.

I went to this concert with a few friends last summer. Secondhand Serenade was the opening act for All American Rejects, and John did a spectacular job! I even got to meet him, it was a really incredible experience. He's an amazing performer, seeing as it's just him and his guitar and no one else. The lighting there was really gorgeous, and he basically just did an amazing performance.

I received an email from my local outdoor outfitter store that they were having a sale on wooden hangers. 50 cents each, 5 for $2.25 or 50 for $20. WHAT A GREAT DEAL. Time to replace those plastic ones I hate and that have been breaking. I love finding secondhand bargains!

Saw this glass in a secondhand shop and was surprised that it was from Arcopal! Did they produce more of these glasses?

It's funny the things you see driving around a small town. Like, say, frinstance, this dire warning against secondhand smoke. Let's say I had a strong desire to post a warning against a dreadful cause of cancer, would I be motivated to paint a mural on the side of a building in a town of 1000 people 2 blocks off the main drag and a half-mile from the interstate? Yes, yes I would. No wait, I mean, no I wouldn't, but the artist behind this piece was.

When we spotted this jigsaw in a charity shop we just knew we had to buy it! The partly faded box lid with slightly battered corner didn't deter us, because the inner plastic bag was still sealed!

It's entitled 'The Secret' (1858), by William Henry Fisk (1827-1884). and is a charming Victorian painting.

I usually like to upload our jigsaw photos in chronological order but wanted to share this one because it is such an attractive image.

After completing the two main figures (and their 'spy') we thought it would be fairly straightforward to assemble. Boy, were we wrong there! The foliage was a bit of a grind, with Mike and I taking turns to fill in sections until we'd each had enough and wanted a rest. Eventually our hard work was rewarded, and the puzzle was finished.

An absolute beauty, and if you see a copy I'd recommend you snap it up.
