Praying mantis exoskeleton - this one floated down from a tree I was walking under - my place is starting to look like a Secondhand Clothing store.

My apologies to anyone who is not familiar with the term 'exoskeleton'.

Definition of exoskeleton:

An exoskeleton is what is left after an insect, spider or hermit crab have finished moulting.

This link gives a better understanding of all moulting:

This is a nice bookshop off the main road into Springdale, Utah and Zion National Park. I enjoyed shopping here and both Brian and I bought a couple of books.

Didn't notice the "blocks" until uploading this picture to the computer.

It is a pretty simple advertisement, that reminds us all that we should respect our community and respect other people, in regards to smokers and where they choose to smoke.

Visually the cigarette is on an angle and you see the lit end sort of cut off. If you don't see it, it is a cigarette being put out.

It is the alternate version of the "!" anti smoking poster

I also realised when I tried it on that the pockets were on backwards... well not really, another mistake on my behalf, I thought it was a wrap front but turns out it was a wrap back. This will definately be adjusted, way too much risk of a gust of wind leaving me exposed without my knowledge

I am a big fan of prints, and many of my thrifted clothes have great ones.

This store closed in December 2020; it was previously Wills Book and Stationary, which opened in March 1997. It became a Books-A-Million in March 1999, which relocated to Waynesboro on September 18th, 2008, then became a Crossfit in 2015.

About three yards or so of this big, bright, all cotton print. It's not exactly quilted, more just woven in a way that makes it pucker in a pattern..

We visited this shop in Springdale, Utah. Many more rocks than books. Bought a polished black fossil rock here - which got a place of honor in our garden back in Seattle.

EXPO Shanghai, October 2010

The Ninbo Tengtou Pavilion is the only village pavilion at the EXPO exhibition.

It is designed by Wang Shu and Lu Wenvy (Amateur Architecture Studio) and is one of the most poetic experience I had at the exhibition and it gave me a lot of hope for chinese architecture in the future.

They were representing China at Venice Biennale this year 2010 with "Decay of a Dome"

Wang Shu is Professor and Head of the Architecture department at China Academy of Art, Hangzhou.

50c each. No, I'm not re-starting my schoolgirl hanky collection; I might actually use these and free myself from the Kleenex pocket packs. I wonder where that old collection is?

An antique brooch set with four pear shaped diamonds and four round diamonds.

One of my favorite things to do!

This smooth cotton was still unwashed with it's tag from JCPenney from the days that they were still a "real" department store and sold fabrics by the yard.

Second contender for today's dailyshoot theme, taken at the same location.
