I got the 7 years in Tibet because of the current troubles in Tibet.
Living Juicy I bought because it amused me when I opened it! (Also I've got the Living Juicy cards by Sark already)
The other two are books I've long fancied... having seen them long ago in a shop whilst on a work visit to the US... at the time I just couldn't afford them... then recently they were mentioned in a blog (can't find a reference now) and I thought how much I'd like them still...
Not bad all for £7.30 :-)
We haven’t been going out secondhand shopping much as most of our trips involve dropping things off to donate. We have been looking for some furniture items so we’ve had to stop out here and there. Today we found these two homemade actual wood shelves and while the color isn’t ideal, we’re going to dig around in our paint stores and repaint them tomorrow. We also found three small corner selves, also homemade, and we’re using two as speaker stands for our stereo and one on the stairs. We got all 5 pieces of furniture for less than $40. I also found this incredible hand stitched quilt. I fully plan on picking the blanket apart and using the fabric on a skirt idea I’ve been sourcing vintage fabric for. We also got this dish and mug, they won’t be for eating/drinking with but I have some ideas.

I'm not sure that buying a second hand game for probing is a good idea but could be fun on a blind date in Arkansas.

Call me old fashioned, but i have a very soft spot for rocking chairs. Comforting..soothing..old-fashioned if you like.. Spotted this old dear at a second-hand shop in Madrid against the canvas of graffiti, something bespoke..and full of character in its own right.

Sue has a second hand bookstore in Epping, Sydney that she established in 1991. It's a great little shop. If you are ever in Epping head down to Scotts Arcade and check it out. I love secondhand book stores. Along with public libraries, secondhand book stores are an essential part of any education. You find things in them that you will never find elsewhere. On my way home from art school I spent ages in Recycled Reading lost in books. I worked there for a couple of years and still, over a 15 years later, Sue offers me a staff discount. She hasn't aged the whole time I've known her either. Fantastic lady.
