I walked from Canonbury to Stratford today via the Regents canal.
I'm glad this shop is still going, when I used to work down the road from here I used to buy a lot of second hand things from here.
Ps if you look carefully you can see me in this one in my new silly sunhat.
Former London Country Bus South West SNB 218 (LPB 218P) initially numbered 716 by Southend Transport had been renumbered 713 at some stage. Here it is seen in Southend town centre on June 7th 1992.
TBD 278G is seen here disused at Express Motors in July 95, who had purchased it in 1986 from United Counties, for use on tendered work along with 284, which was also disused on site at the same time
I wear this cardigan everywhere. To school, when I go shopping and when I go for a drink. And, believe it or not, it looks really cool on my boyfriend.
This ex British Columbia Rail SD40-2 has found a new home on the Wheeling and Lake Erie. Of all the crazy amounts of snow this unit has probably seen, the light flurries of Northern Ohio offer no contest as this unit is prepped for its journey to Brewster.

This 10” tall robot was among a pile of toys that I found in the trash. The antenna on the right ear was broken off and the battery cover missing on the back, but most of the electronic features still worked. The light in the head was the notable exception.

ثرفت، أول متجر كتب مستعملة في أبوظبي والوحيد كما أعرف.
العامل يرى كتبي ويصنفها، لم يأخذ كل شيء بل فقط ما يريده.
My travels around the UK by car for three weeks with my son. June/July 2019 Wales.
Day eight ..making our way to Aberystwyth for the night. We stopped in the Village of Hay-on-Way to look at the book shops and to get some lunch.
Hay-on-Wye, often abbreviated to just "Hay", is a small market town and community in the historic county of Brecknockshire (Breconshire) in Wales. With over twenty bookshops, it is often described as "the town of books", and is both the National Book Town of Wales and the site of the annual Hay Literary Festival.
The settlement's name is first referred to between 1135 and 1147 as Haya; in 1299 the name of La Haye is used. By the 16th century it was simply called Hay, and the use of the river as a suffix is a later addition. In 1215, a Welsh name, Gelli was recorded, and Gelli gandrell in 1614; the two names may have been used concurrently in 1625. The English language name, Hay, is derived from Old English hæg, possibly meaning a "fenced area" and a noun used in late Saxon and Norman times for an enclosure in a forest. The Welsh word celli (lenited to Gelli) has a range of meanings including wooded areas of various extents.

Following on our trend for secondhand Nationals, Stagecoach Ribble recieved a number of Nationals from various sources in the mid 90s. Although most came from Cumberland, a few arrived from North of the border including this one. MDS 858V had been new to Central SMT in 1980 as their N25 and had ended up later in life with Western Scottish. As Western and Ribble both came under the Stagecoach umbrella no repainting was required when the bus reached Bolton though new fleetnames had yet to be fitted.
For some reason, a non standard National destination display seems to be fitted which made these former Scottish buses stand out from the rest of the Nationals allocated to Bolton.
Lovely pink bow flats found at local second hand store. Couldn't resist although they're not of my size...

Niet alleen de boekenstal was een interessant fotografie-objekt. Ook deze oude en bejaarde dame was op haar plek tussen de oude boeken. Wat zou ze toch zoeken?
Trigsaw Puzzles
wood (possibly ash)
65 pieces, including frame
11.5 x 7 in
Another interesting find: a so-called 'trigsaw' from a hitherto (to me) unknown jigsaw puzzle cutter from Norfolk.
I've only been able to find a fleeting reference to Martin Smith on Facebook, and that was from thirteen years ago.
A sticker on the puzzle gives an address and telephone number for Norwich but I'm reluctant to reach out to him, so if anyone has information I'd love to hear from them.
Supplied in a plain white box (similar to those used for boxed greetings cards) and wrapped in black tissue paper, the 'map' and its frame looks to be hand cut from a solid piece of wood, then each piece has been stained.
Once again plying the home rails of its former owner, this Cascade green SD40-2 is in its second career as a leaser as it sits on the point of a manifest among a string of westbounds parked for the afternoon with no crews on the St. Crox sub. FURX 7216 was built as Burlington Northern 7216 in June 1980.
