While my presentation was original, most of this outfit is secondhand. The only new items were the bag strap and tights.
I love it that I can find secondhand clothing that I’m proud and happy to wear. I stood up in front of a crowd today to deliver a presentation and felt like a million bucks.

Fallowfield based Wall's were another Manchester independent who entered the world of local bus operation at deregulation.
Again, former Greater Manchester PTE Standards featured, and these stalwarts of the local bus scene continued their daily grind, just in a different colour.
Wall's gave most of their acquisitions dateless registrations, mainly in the WSV / YSV series, as typified by YSV608 here on Portland Street in central Manchester.
This was formerly GMPTE 7270, an early 'Standard' Daimler Fleetline that spent its life based at Queens Road depot at Cheetham Hill to the North of the city.
As built, it was similar to the previously uploaded Fleetline with a flat screen. However, accident damage led to it being rebuilt with a curved screen to the Mk1a Standard design, making the bus look younger than what it actually is.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Meet Chambray! Yes, Colleen and I thought her official box name would make a great doll name ("chambray" sounds really fancy and fits this doll's gorgeousness). She will always have a special place in my heart for two reasons. The first being that she was a very unexpected, but most appreciated surprise. Being an adult doll collector isn't always "easy." By this I mean that many times people write you off as being crazy. They don't see anything of substance in the hobby and are quick to write it off. But sometimes there are people who take an interest and want to know more. Other times there are people who might not "get it" but are more than willing to be supportive. Colleen is very open and honest about our dolly obsession at work. Heck, she even shared some of our very childish Youtube videos with her students! So word has gotten around that we are dolly rescuers. A few months into 2019, Colleen and a coworker discussed how her daughters had some unwanted dolls. She propositioned Colleen that she could round up the rejected plastic beauties and bring them into school for us. Colleen kept this a secret from me, until the day she finally got her hands on the dolls. That afternoon, she presented me with an ear to ear grin and a small plastic bag of Barbies. The dollies were a humble assortment of 2010s Disney and Barbie faces, all of whom were nude (there was one dress between them). But knowing the story behind the dolls made me all that much more excited to welcome them into our family with open arms. I didn't honestly care who was in the bag, I was simply touched by Colleen's coworker's generosity. But there were several gems inside the bag--Wedding Day Cinderella, Market Barbie, AND this Chambray Chic gal. This leads me to the second reason I adore this doll so much. She was my very first "curvy" Barbie, and that is nothing to turn your nose up at. Initially when I heard of Mattel's plans to introduce a wider diversity of body shapes into the Barbie line, I had mixed feelings. I loved the idea of variety and representation for people of all sizes, shapes, and colors. But I was concerned about the clothing situation. Leave it to the dolly fashion hoarder to be worried about how the dolls would share clothes, and what extra options they would have. I figured I would wait until the dolls turned up secondhand before adding any to my collection...I'm pretty stingy with my money when it comes to buying Barbies in the store (not that I don't love them, but they are so populous on the secondhand market). Chambray took my breath away the moment we met. She has a serene, mature facial screening, sleek saran hair, and a fabulous curvy body! She also feels heavier than the other Barbies, since she is structurally sturdier. She's smaller than a Ken doll, but yet she feels weightier (kind of like how Bratz are tiny in size but are pretty heavy feeling in your hands because of their quality). Anyways, I was devoted to giving this gal the best life possible from the get go. I knew I could scrounge something out of my clothing drawers for her to wear. But why do that when there might be special fashion packs made for "curvy" Barbies? That's right, this Hello Kitty ensemble she is donning in this photo was purchased JUST for Chambray! I wanted her to have something that fit her curvy frame AND an outfit that suited her modern time frame. What is more special than a Hello Kitty garment?!!! I plan to buy more clothes slowly so Chambray has outfit options, and in the event I get more curvy gals. I should also note that my back up plan in the event there weren't fashion packs that would fit her, was to buy one of the "curvy" dolls sold with extra clothing...yes I do have a doll clothing addiction!
One of the CP class 1320's bought secondhand from RENFE in 1989 is seen at Porto Campanhã with a southbound freight. 18 of these locomotives were obtained secondhand from Spain where they had become surplus. This loco 1329 was formerly RENFE class 313's no.313 020. They were an Alco design with most having been built in Spain under licence by Compañia Euskaldana, Bilbao. There operating careers on CP was short lived with one withdrawn in 1994 and another in 1996 followed by the remaining 16 locomotives during 1997.
I made a mistake when manually setting the lens information. EXIF is 135m, but it's actually NIKKOR 28m 1:2.8.

For the life of me I can't think why we bought this puzzle: it's not our 'thing' at all, despite the fact that I have a soft spot for teddies! However, it was a fun 'make' and kept me busy for a few days during the times when I was taking a break from spring-cleaning. Sadly there were a couple of missing pieces (top left and bottom right quadrants if you want to look for them).

Nikkor 70-300mm AF-S f/4.5-5.6 VR
On Saturday, I toddled up to Tilgate Park in Crawley to test my newly-acquired secondhand Nikon 70-300, which is replacing my 55-200 now I've decided to try a bit of wildlife photography.
It was a pretty miserable afternoon, with poor light and drizzle (hence the high ISOs), but at least I established that the lens works (and autofucusses on moving far objects far better that the 55-200 did).

I'd been wanting to try one of these colour spectrum puzzles for quite a while, so when I found a factory sealed copy in a charity shop I snapped it up. Upon opening it I noticed the alphabet printed on the back: a feature of a lot of modern Chinese jigsaw puzzles. I was determined not to resort to using the letters as a guide!
My verdict? An entertaining 'make', not difficult if worked from the centre out - although I assembled the edges before making that decision. Shiny pieces of a decent thickness, with the usual assortment of shapes (always a 'plus' for me). Although only 1,000 pieces, the shape meant it had to be assembled on our 1,5000pc-sized portapuzzle board, and even that wasn't big enough. A small niggle but nothing to stress over, although something to bear in mind if you intend looking for a copy.

The third vehicle acquired from Southwestbus was a one-off in the Padbus fleet. Number 18 (J784 BNL) is a Volvo B10M/Plaxton Paramount that was purchased secondhand in 2004 specifically for use as a driver trainer and never saw PSV service there; the chequerboard livery was normally applied to a yellow base and this white example remains unique. It was returned to revenue-earning service by Southwestbus and will probably continue in that role as a private hire coach.
