Save money on those expensive after-ride photo's by simply taking a photo of yourself in the ride's designated test seat whilst pulling a face as if you are travelling at breakneck speeds.
Rise for the climate, the climate march in Brussels was the largest ever in Belgium. Between 65000 and 75000 protesters pledged their support to Mother Earth in the shadow of the COP24.
Man-made Climate change is real and it is part of the many Anthropocene problems we need to adress and solve urgently.

This injured snail crawled on the pavement and was at risk of being stepped upon. I took a photo of it, picked it up and moved the snail into a nearby garden, where it will be safe.

This is the little hummingbird I saved a couple of days ago.
The Story behind this photo:
Yesterday morn I let our two cats out to let them eat in peace before letting the dogs out of their crates. After about a half an hour, I finally went to get the dogs. But I heard fluttering in the skylight on our back porch. The cats were watching intently & as I approached, I saw a tiny green hummingbird frantically beating himself against the top of the skylight. I grabbed up the cats, threw them in the garage. I went and got a kitchen chair and dish towel ... thinking that I might just throw it over the bird and capture him. But standing wobbly-legged on the chair, I decided that wasn't such a great idea after all. Then I got a bright idea. I remembered that there were some fallen branches out in our yard. So I grabbed a long stick with twigs on the end and ran back to the porch. I carefully stuck it up into the skylight where the poor bird was still fluttering away. Immediately, the exhausted hummer latched onto a twig & I slowly lowered him down and out over the railing. I placed the stick in the top of a rhododendron bush. He sat there for at least five minutes (while I happily photographed him) before flying away. Had I let the dogs out earlier, I would have never noticed that little hummer and surely he would dropped down out of sheer exhaustion and become a tasty morsel for one of my patient cats or a play toy for our dogs.

A village employee attempting to 'unclog' the 'drain' in the street. I like his reflection in the water. J. pointed out to me that SuperMan was looking at me. I told him he was silly. The man just happens to be looking in my direction. J. zoomed in & sure enough, SuperMan is staring right into my lens! LOL. Probably wondering why this girl sits in her car taking photos of fools driving through what was once a road and is now a river. I do like his boots.

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth or anything drastic like that - but my MacBook is in bad shape. It's currently in the ER hopefully undergoing some life saving operation.
I feel cold, empty and naked without it. I've still been taking a shot a day for my 365 but I don't know when I'll be able to post them. We have a bajillion photos from Hawaii that I need to share too but not sure when I'll get to those either.
Please stay tuned...XOXO

Money is a big deal in modern day society. Without it, everything stops. Markets stop, food isn't distributed, items aren't bought or sold. Needless to say, money makes the world go around.
Although money is relatively easy to get, saving it is whole different matter. There are often many times in which having a couple of extra dollars can mean the difference between living the high life or just getting by.
However people nowadays tend to mix their priorities up. Sometimes it's often the case someone may purchase a brand new phone but have no food to eat in their refrigerator.
With this current overwhelming mentality, it no surprise people are losing their homes or worse go into bankruptcy.

Beans, they are so easy to grow and so nice to eat. At the end of the growing you can save some seed for next year. You get all this then for nothing!
It is all a bit silly really as we have enough beans here to plant a field of them next year, but there is something about popping beans out of their pods that "once you pop you cannot stop" as the TV ad keeps telling me. T&J certainly enjoyed it all. We have here a mixture of runner beans and french beans. The smaller black ones are sweet peas, as you can see not all of them were fully ready as they are green and far from dried. These have gone into the airing cupboard for a while.
The beans are now in paper envelopes in a dry dark place in the garage, away from any mice and ready for next year.

Diet
The saving diet
The secret of this diet is to mix in some nutrition with gymnastics, water and beauty treatments.
Monday
1) After dinner, go outside and walk briskly about a mile – not one ounce of weight from a hearty lunch is not going on your waist.
2) Dinner three hours before...

My grandmother endured her loneliness.
Planting her feet, she stood her ground.
What she lacked became her armor.
Steel hearted
she knew how to protect
her emptiness
leaned into it
arms folded
an impenetrable wall
across her chest.
But like a colorful bird
stunned
from flying unaware
into a pane of glass
eyes over wide
arms fluttering
my mother’s losses exposed her.
She lay dazed
splintered by her sorrows
waiting always for
something
to break.
And I
like an indiscriminate gardener
snipped branches
nursed uncertain grafts
and pulled from their roots
a ramshackle beauty.
I am the dinner plate dahlias
show stopping flowers
on too weak stems
and always hoping
my own inveterate seed saving daughter
will cull stronger strains
and fill her pockets with wiser choices.

I shopped at the Real Canadian Superstore located at 2901 8th Street East at around 10:45 pm on Monday night. Someone bought some seafood and left this receipt behind, which happened to fall in with the requirements for the coupon, pictured below.
