Continuation of the story
Another round struck our cover. this time it shook a little. All of a sudden I heard a grenade wiz over my head, I looked over the cover and there was a plume of smoke right in front of us. "GET OVER HERE! DOUBLE TIME IT!" yelled an unknown voice. I searched for the source at the same time the DEVGRU guy grabbed me and pulled me towards a door. A man popped around the door and launched all six grenades from his Milkor. The DEVGRU guy dropped me and the "saving grace" grabbed me and pulled me deeper into the building while the other provided cover fire. The man with the GL asked me if I was alright, I managed to grumble a weak "yeah". It was the first time I talked to someone since I got blacked out.
Or maybe it's "Enabling Planet"; it's the place where celebrities go to be reassured that the stuff they're doing is ok instead of weird, freaky or just plain depressing.
Well, I now have a photo of a Blue Jay - but not exactly the close-up that I long for! Till I get one, I will continue to enjoy all the magnificent photos that you all post!
I've been stashing away cash for an upcoming trip and some photo equipment treats. I just wanted to roll around in it!

The invention of Daylight Savings Time…wasn't much of an invention at all really. Here is an outtake from a failed multiple exposure shot. A failure as an homage to a failure of an idea.

We had a long wait to get on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty so a few students used the opportunity to rest up for the shopping frenzy later in the day. Usually we can get on pretty quick from the Jersey Side but we waited three hours this time, and my daughter waited even longer on the Manhatten side. This was definitely the busiest I have ever seen NYC and we go this same week every year.
This was this young lady's first year and she did have fun, and also helped the NYC economy :)

This was inspired by the Emily Dickinson quote, “I hope you love birds too. It is economical. It saves going to heaven.” I don't really know what this means (and I can't seem to find it anywhere), and it probably doesn't even mean what I think it does, but whatever.
Anyway, though, this picture is about how people do good deeds or whatever so they can get into Heaven. As if each good thing they do is a coin they put in a jar to pay their way into Heaven. You know what I'm saying? I really feel like this concept is more developed than my usual photos, but it's kind of hard to explain.
Also, I'm not religious in any way whatsoever. I feel like pointing that out (so don't get offended if you're offended by this. I don't think anyone will be, but you never know.)
And also ignore my bad handwriting and the bit of noise on the table...

There's no Saving Grace Season 1 DVD Boxset: Holly Hunter's cop drama will wrap
up next summer after its third season, TNT announced.
The network had originally ordered a split 15-episode third season, with nine episodes currently running this summer and six to run in the winter. TNT has now tacked on three
more episodes to the remaining six to allow producers to tie up loose ends. The last nine episodes will air in summer 2010.
"Since Saving Grace Season 1 DVD Boxset began in 2007, the series has both
challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare," said Michael Wright, TNT programming chief. "The show's continued success is thanks to the
amazing talents of Holly Hunter and Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look
forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead."
A reason for the cancellation was not given, but the series, with Oscar winner Hunter in the lead, is expensive to produce.
Grace, which follows Hunter's promiscuous, tough-as-nails Det. Grace Hanadarko, has enjoyed critical acclaim and solid ratings since its debut. Hunter earned her second-straight
Emmy nomination for the role last month and the series has averaged 3.5 million viewers going into Tuesday's summer finale.
