There's no Saving Grace Season 1 DVD Boxset: Holly Hunter's cop drama will wrap
up next summer after its third season, TNT announced.
The network had originally ordered a split 15-episode third season, with nine episodes currently running this summer and six to run in the winter. TNT has now tacked on three
more episodes to the remaining six to allow producers to tie up loose ends. The last nine episodes will air in summer 2010.
"Since Saving Grace Season 1 DVD Boxset began in 2007, the series has both
challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare," said Michael Wright, TNT programming chief. "The show's continued success is thanks to the
amazing talents of Holly Hunter and Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look
forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead."
A reason for the cancellation was not given, but the series, with Oscar winner Hunter in the lead, is expensive to produce.
Grace, which follows Hunter's promiscuous, tough-as-nails Det. Grace Hanadarko, has enjoyed critical acclaim and solid ratings since its debut. Hunter earned her second-straight
Emmy nomination for the role last month and the series has averaged 3.5 million viewers going into Tuesday's summer finale.

The Chicamacomico Life Saving Station at Rodanthe was established in 1874. It was the first of two stations that carried the Chicamacomico name and was identified as Life Saving Station No. 18. The Gothic Revival style structure had a keeper's room and crew room, a boat room, a mess room for meals, and a lookout. Later, a separate cook house was built. The 1874 board-and-batten station was closed and converted to a boathouse when a new Shingle style station was built in 1911. Both buildings are located on the grounds of the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site and Museum. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This is a small monument dedicated to the cat in the centre of St.Petersburg. A lot of tourists from all around the world throwing coins onto this cat (kinda tradition, I think). So, the guy on the wall picked up some money (I do not know what was the reason, actually). However, some coins are dropped on the ground and this old woman want to get some...

We just started using a french press to make tea. I am impressed by it's filtering capability. Every other day I like to make a half gallon of hot tea which I let cool, add honey and toss in the fridge. We usually rotate between two of our blends:
1. Perky - ephedra, mint hibiscus
2. Cota - plus some local mint
We grow or wild harvest most of the ingredients so the cost is close to zero for us. I like to compare the price to what it costs to buy pre-made drinks from grocery stores. Most commercial drinks have ingredients we would not want to drink like high fructose corn syrup and cost several dollars for far less quantity.

"Saving Jamaica Bay" tells the story of how one community—led by a family with roots in the area stretching back more than 100 years—fought the government and overcame Hurricane Sandy to clean up and restore the largest open space in New York City, which had become a dumping ground for garbage, sewage, sludge and bullet-riddled mobsters. Narrated by actress Susan Sarandon, the film includes interviews with the community activists who led the fight, and state and city officials. The film also symbolizes efforts to preserve nature, combat climate change and invest in neglected national parks.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Daniel Hendrick.and Tim Dillingham, Executive Director, American Littoral Society.

i had a major developing problem with this roll of polachrome; the film came out the processor totally dark.
i was about to threw it in the bin, when, taking a closer look, i saw the pictures on the film, in negative. so i proceed to remove the black, thick layer that should have been removed in the processor. under running tap water and using my fingers, i managed to remove the most of the dark layer, but, as you can see, the emulsion suffered major loss.
the lesson here is: never trash away your polachrome, the truth is under the thick black layer.
this polachrome film is expired in 1990
