A knitting sampler, knitted last night and about to be frogged. I used the yarn that I got from the Biggan Dups class on Continental Knitting at the iKnit Weekender. It is DK weight 100% Australian Merino Wool and a delight to knit with. All of this stitch patterns were worked from "400 Knitting Stitches: Great Stitch Patterns" (Murdoch Books) - except the "heel stitch" which I found on www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/525 - and the stitch names and page numbers can be seen in the 'notes' as you hover over the photos on their flickr page.
Strawberries + strawberry blossoms together are supposed to symbolize virtue in women (the flower and the fruit - fruitful yet chaste). I wonder if the designer knew?
I'm contributing to the April Sampler (www.homeofthesampler.com). I've packaged my bottlecap necklaces up by cutting 2"x3" cards from food boxes, cutting slits in the top to run the chain to the back and putting them in small bags. Then I stapled my biz card to the bag.
This is the second miniature sampler I made, a wedding sampler, in honor of my marriage to Bob. The couple is holding a heart, and our initials and the date of our wedding are included.

A sampler from the Bridgeport Brewery and Bakery. Couldn't find one I didn't like... Service was nowhere near as stellar as at Deschutes though - maybe need to hire some more people?
