Back: Eggplant Tapende (eggplants, garlic, tomatoes)

Left: Spicy Walnut Pepper Spread (fire roasted peppers, walnuts, oil, garlic, parsley)

Right: Red Pepper Spread (roasted red peppers, olive oil, garlic)

Front: Beet Skordalia (baked beets, garlic, herbs, and spices)

These were SO GOOD. Eggplant was the least flavorful. Everything else was...flavorful. Surprisingly so. For four choices we picked a good spread of flavors (crunchy, spicy, sweet, mushy, blah blah). Uber-colorful. It made me feel like I was eating something healthy...on top of lots and lots of warm pita bread.

Took some time tonight to complete the last couple of days' worth of 365 Challenge Sampler blocks.

Finished! I had a hard time taking nice photos of it, but these will do. Maybe when the weather finally dries out, I'll try a few outside.

A knitting sampler, knitted last night and about to be frogged. I used the yarn that I got from the Biggan Dups class on Continental Knitting at the iKnit Weekender. It is DK weight 100% Australian Merino Wool and a delight to knit with. All of this stitch patterns were worked from "400 Knitting Stitches: Great Stitch Patterns" (Murdoch Books) - except the "heel stitch" which I found on www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/525 - and the stitch names and page numbers can be seen in the 'notes' as you hover over the photos on their flickr page.

Finished! I had a hard time taking nice photos of it, but these will do. Maybe when the weather finally dries out, I'll try a few outside.

ANYway, I really like the lemon and wild berry zingers and the peppermint is ok. Have tried the other 2.

Big Apple Pizza Restaurant's Sampler: five garlic knots, three mozzarella sticks, and chicken wings with choice of flavor. I chose BBQ. I also took one mozzarella stick before taking the photo. I was sorta hungry.
