Trivia note: Peter Fonda's father, Henry Fonda, crossed the Old Trails Arch Bridge visible to the right, in his classic film, The Grapes of Wrath. (also in this set)

Same bush different day. The Skippers have been on this bush all summer, by the dozens. They share with so many other butterflies that I've counted eight different species at one time feeding together alongside the bees and Spinxmoths as well!
Other than close crop (these guys are tiny!) This is SOOC
Same vantage point as previous shot, except during the day. Bunker Hill is still visible to the lower left of the shot.
Enjoying the sun on a hot day at Popham Airfield.
It was good to see the only two British Registered Stinson's Type 108-3 Flying Station Wagon at the same airfield on the same day.
Same as No.1 fan and me, there were no official proposal. So we MADE Erick made it official, a week before the wedding.
Too bad I never got the official proposal, now that I think about it....may be that's why I was so fixed on shooting all of my wedding stuff in studio portrait session.
This was the same chap who tried to charge us on the way back to the lodge last night. This time he was wallowing in mud pool next to a main road, and a few local cars had pulled up to wait, rather than try to continue by him. However, our ranger, Ross, wanted to get closer, so as the bull disappeared behind a thicket, boldly advanced down the road. Seconds later, the bull rushed out from behind the thicket, head up, ears spread, and on to the road and charging towards us. Ross threw it into reverse and floored it for about 50 meteres, with clouds of black diesel exhaust pouring from under the bonnet. I thought the engine had blown and our final moments had arrived. We headed up a side road with the bull still following, and managed to out-distance him. Scary moment!

On November 5th, 2008, Proposition 8 was passed by California voters by a margin of 52.5% vs 47.5%. Following the passing of the proposition, many California counties have stopped issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples. As a result wide-spread protests have been documented across the state - San Francisco experiencing one of the largest on November 7th, 2008 as protesters took to the street.

The memorial tower to Sir Robert Peel high above Ramsbottom was planned and erected at the same time as Bury was preparing its statue to the then recently deceased statesman who was born in Bury.
The tower occupies a prominent position on Harcles Hill (known locally as "Holcombe Hill" due to its location next to Holcombe village) 1100 feet (335 m) above sea level. The monument is believed to have been designed by members of the memorial committee who included the local textile entrepreneur and philanthropist, William Grant. Grant was said to have been responsible for the site which was in a direct line from his own house, Nuttall Hall, and St Andrew's church.
A public subscription provided the £1,000 needed to build the tower. The stone for the tower was obtained from the hillside. The Peel Tower was opened in September 1852, the day after the inauguration of the Baily's statue in Bury.
