In the abandoned ghost town of Bodie California, stands this Rusty legacy as a part of the History of the American Dream. I take comfort in knowing that all the American classic car lovers out there will gaze at this old beauty and continue to dream...aching to bring her back to life. The Dream lives on.

The rust and tarnish that has developed on this garden ornament--an ornamentation discarded from an old church roof--has created its very own rugged landscape, complete with a sea, a tidal inlet, coastal marshes, freshwater lakes, and impressive cliffs.
This was at the abandoned Fisher Plant in Detroit. It has some great rust and awesome peeling texture and still quite a bit of color. Plus I haven't done just a detail shot in a long time....haha! Thanks so much to everyone, I appreciate it!

Rusty [ our stray] is thriving in our home. He eats, sleeps and loves to sit in our front yard like he's lived here all his life. He's quite the cat. [ MOST of the time he's inside].
He caught a mouse in our front yard yesterday ...I tried to take pics but he dropped it by the time I grabbed my camera.

They don't usually sit in the open, at least for me.
Euphagus carolinus
The Rusty Blackbird feeds mostly on insects and plant matter, but it sometimes attacks and eats other birds. It has been documented feeding on sparrows, robins, and snipe, among others.
The oldest recorded Rusty Blackbird was at least 8 years, 7 months old. It was banded in Arkansas in 1931, and shot in 1939 in Mississippi.
Cab side of a former Milwaukee Road SD7 and Chamberlain, SD. I personally love the style of the lettering and use of the tilted Milwaukee rectangle.
