A strange metal structure that looks like a rusty centipede. Found in the yard of a metal factory.

What a challenge keeping the mirror clean. Certainly drove me nuts. On reflection a super challenge :) HMM!

I remembered to take the macro lens with me to Sneydes Rd. on Saturday knowing there is lots of rusty fencing around the paddock.

You can look at these letters, in this rusty beauty, in two ways. Or you see them coming of out the rusty surface or you see them inside the surface ;-))

a wooden barrel with a rusty barrel hoop (on the left) and a just as rusty nail ... seen on a Sunday stroll through the fields.

Macro Mondays - theme of 22nd March, 2021: Rust

Happy Macro Monday, everyone !

(I will be browsing later in the evening due to work)

A Common Songbird that is in Steep Decline according to what I have read about them on the All about Birds website, the research done by NABBS found a 4.4% decline yearly between 1966-2014 which resulted in a 89% cumulative decline. While it is not clear what has caused this decline, some possibilities point toward loss of wet woodland habitat, also Rusty Blackbirds from the Northern Eastern parts of North America have been recorded with usually high amounts of mercury contamination and that could also be contributing to their decline in those regions.

Front Page Explore~thank you for all your comments and support! Wouldn't be there without you wonderful people! x I'm overwhelmed by all the views and comments still....thanks again!!

Trying to come up with a title for this one-ok, I'm seeing lots of rust in the comments, so I'll keep the title simple-but who knows, it may change again!

Taken at the bird blind, through the fence. One was in a tree to the left and one was at the waters edge. Not the greatest background, but who cares.

The North American Breeding Bird Survey and Christmas Bird Count have determined that Rusty Blackbirds have dropped 85%-98% in the past 40 years. Maybe they are making a come back.

They have been documented feeding on sparrows, robins, and snipe, among others.
