Non-breeding male Rusty Blackbird. This bird's numbers has been dropping drastically over time. This once common bird has now become a much harder bird to find where I live. Gwynn Acres, Howard County, Maryland.

This small geyser received its name for its rusty, red-colored basin surrounding its funnel-shaped vent. Iron oxides are responsible for staining the sinter. This thermal feature was dormant before the 1959 earthquake. Since then, except from 1964-1967, it has been an active and frequent spouter. Its temperature is above the boiling point and this may be one reason why it is a steady geyser.

Temperature 202°F Interval 2-3 minutes. Duration 20-45 seconds. Height 4-6 feet.

Rusty is a neighbours dog, they were out walking in the snow and Rusty looked so gorgeous against the white, had to photograph him.

Rusty Blackbird

RUSTY is a handsome Boxer/Pit mix who’s a little under one year old. He’s a friendly, affectionate young dog with lots of energy and enthusiasm – really just a big puppy at heart! He loves his toys, pays attention well for food treats (he would LOVE to go to obedience class!!) and does well with other dogs.

Rusty is looking for an active home where he’ll have lots of exercise and kind, consistent training.

Rusty lives in Kennel 5.

Found this place beside a busy road @ Melaka, Malaysia. It has a very old entrance, a rusty wall, and a mailbox. Produces beautiful natural texture for shooting.
