This bus got around a bit after leaving Kingstonas I'm sure I have it at other places south of the river.
sold to Lesney in Hackney who had a very interesting fleet of used vehicles for their staff transport. Lesney made the famous "Matchbox Toys"
601 Rt. 940; has an odd look that doesn't resemble other Kmarts of the time; it almost looks more like a Jamesway. It also has a "pharmacy" sign that looks completely different from any other Kmart I've seen. The shopping center appears to be from the mid 90s; it's almost identical to Wind Gap Plaza which was built in 1995. It also has a labelscar that implies it was a "Big Kmart" at one point, but was changed back to a normal Kmart before the currrent logo was introduced.
Last day of RT operation at Seven Kings garage November 1977 . Route 150 AP77. Behind is a DMS AP14 Route 129 . This was a Saturday, I had just finished on the night bus service N98 with a Routemaster. I remember it well as the power steering on the bus failed as I was turning a sharp right from Grace Church Street into Fenchurch Street. The garage is void of buses as the transfer vehicle ( an old RT) that was being used to transport the enginners around South London, broke down so they could not bring back the Routemaster buses for the start of the morning run out. Hence the Last RT. Just round the corner there are a few RT's awaiting to depart the garage for scrap, but went out on sevice for the last time with this RT. ( If I find my negs I might be able to Id the DMS) The quality of the print is not to good. It was procesed on a new paper that had a lining type finish from a old company called @Tudor
Another shot taken with modelling mid. I built a few of the old Cotswold Model RTs at the time. They needed a lot adding to them! The inspector's hut is now a distant memory!
determined not to let an Austin 7 beat him away from the lights at Kingston Station, or maybe they are both trying to avoid the Watneys pub!............awful stuff..........Red Barrell
14th July 1978 was the last day of RTs on route 140, and this then left only three garages operating the class, Catford, Bromley and Barking. 28 RTs were scheduled at Harrow Weald for the 140 on Monday to Friday. RT 3298 (HD) stops in Yeading Lane, Northholt on a short working to Hayes station. Thursday 3rd October 1974. 2C-9.

Right at the very end of RT operation in South London in 1978 one strayed onto the 47, a route that had been converted to RM three years previously. RT4190, then 27 years old, passes Catford (TL) garage.
RT 3232 almost recreating a sight familier many years ago when London Transport and Thames Valley services called or terminated at Slough Station.RT 3232 was taking part in the Reading Buses Green Line 702 event.
RT 2329 masquerading as RT 3607. A stock number was needed, so one was made up, it will be changed soon.
RT 2329 was parked at La Place de La Republique in Paris. One of 3 RTs hired by TimeOut France to act as Information points for the Nuit Blanche event 5/10/13
