As seen on a running day for old buses that once operated in the area.
Busy few days ahead, catch up on Monday.
Shot with the Olympus E-M1 along scenic Vermont Route 100 just outside of Wilmington. RT 100 is, in my view, the longest, most scenic and picturesque route in New England, running from just outside of Massachusetts to the border with Canada.
Rumor has it that during the 1930.s owners of the gas station along Rt 66 gave counterfeit money as change, Although the rumors are disputed, the name of the remains of the old gas station stuck

yet another view of the green hillsides on either side of this connector road. I always look forward to this part of the drive when we go to visit in Southern California. Photos are just approximations of how immersive these gentle rolling natural sculptures are.

Before the bus station was built in Chingford (1970) the buses terminated a little further up the road to the Royal Forest Hotel (in the background here). There were many routes, and this class of bus would have been seen in numbers here.
Now, once a year, a few restored examples return to where they once ran.
With "color" enough to brighten the dullest day and rarely seen but for a moment's flutter the Ring Necked Pheasant splashed across my viewfinder and lit up the field with its glorious flight.

Something I did in the last few days of 2016. Just getting around to posting it.
Yet another variant of an AT-RT, after I've done several already.
I've seen a lot of builders use those neck brackets for building robots, so I thought I'd give it a shot on a walker. The legs are the hardest part on these things... I think it turned out okay. I also decided to keep the use of droid bodies for the feet, similar to my previous model.
