Last day of RT operation at Seven Kings garage November 1977 . Route 150 AP77. Behind is a DMS AP14 Route 129 . This was a Saturday, I had just finished on the night bus service N98 with a Routemaster. I remember it well as the power steering on the bus failed as I was turning a sharp right from Grace Church Street into Fenchurch Street. The garage is void of buses as the transfer vehicle ( an old RT) that was being used to transport the enginners around South London, broke down so they could not bring back the Routemaster buses for the start of the morning run out. Hence the Last RT. Just round the corner there are a few RT's awaiting to depart the garage for scrap, but went out on sevice for the last time with this RT. ( If I find my negs I might be able to Id the DMS) The quality of the print is not to good. It was procesed on a new paper that had a lining type finish from a old company called @Tudor
On a cold crisp November day, Barking's RT 1989 stops in Gale Street, Becontree. Monday 20th November 1978. 4S-7.
This bus got around a bit after leaving Kingstonas I'm sure I have it at other places south of the river.
Finding myself at Harrow after the tube tour, I set off in serach of RTs. It didn't take long to find one.
A westbound BNSF trains shoots over Illinois Route 40 in Milledgeville, IL, where the bridge supports still have "Burlington Route" logos stamped into the concrete.
30 second exposure with me running the length of the cars popping a strobe on each one while using my body to block the flash from the camera. Then 2 additional pops on the back of the first car
*Explored 11.19.07* Huzzah!!!
sold to Lesney in Hackney who had a very interesting fleet of used vehicles for their staff transport. Lesney made the famous "Matchbox Toys"
A precarious terminal for RTs was the 'Blue Boar' at Abridge on the busy A113 road. On this absolutely abysmal day, RT 4820 from Loughton (L) garage has just reversed into the terminal area on Wednesday 25th September 1974. Lack of out county subsidy resulted in the withdrawal of the 167A in April 1976, but was more than balanced by the introduction of new route 217B, the last new route to be operated by RTs. 2A-9.
Former London Transport RT 2407 converted to open top and used by Belgisch Brits Centrum (BBC), Hoogstraten, Belgium in 2010. It has since been sold

On the wash for the last time at TB. 1850 went to the cutters in April 79, another Wombwells victim.
RT 1678, of North Street (Romford) garage (NS) it would seem has just arrived at or is just about to leave the stand in, IIRC, Argyle Road, Ilford. Whatever, it will eventually turn left into York Road, for a long time the layover point for buses from the north terminating at Ilford station.
For many years the 139 ran from Gants Hill station to Dagenham Dock, but in 1975 was extended to Ilford station and diverted away from Eastern Avenue between the Barley Lane and Whalebone Lane junctions to the Rose Lane Estate. Once an entirely Seven Kings (AP) route, NS worked Monday-Friday services from 1972.
