Making its first appearance, I think, one of the Romford (RE) batch of RTs.

Amid the pleasant surroundings of Banstead High Street, RT 4179 (A) heads back to Sutton garage on the 164A. Tuesday 7th May 1974. R-6.

Buses on Guernsey are limited to a maximum width of 7'6" - so there wasn't a great deal of choice about what to use on a open-top service! Pleinmont, July 1995.

By 1976 London Country was if anything in an even worse state than London Transport. Route 492 had been OPO since 1970 - but that didn't stop them putting an RT out on the route - presumably on the basis that at least RTs could be persuaded to keep going unlike the lines of rear-engined tat that gathered dust against the garage wall.

Here is RT 604 swinging round the corner at Sidcup station, approaching the terminus.

RT 604 later found by being painted into into National Green, thereby becoming the only bus in Britain that looked good in this colour. It survived until 1978 and is now preserved.

In readiness for the return journey to Abbey Wood, the driver has already changed the blind of RT 3961 (AW) approaching Chislehurst War Memorial on Sunday 28th March 1976. 2X -19.

New in 1950 and before entering service with London Transport, RT 1702 along with three others, became an Ambassador for Great Britain travelling through eight European Countries to promote the forthcoming Festival of Britain. The vehicle thus carried a GB plate and a commemorative plaque inside the saloon. It is seen here leaving Bexleyheath garage during an open day event on Saturday 19th May 1979. 127.
