A monochrome picture of Former London Transport RT3251, was running a few trips on route 100 as part of the Walworth garage open day. The bus is one of those owned by Ensignbus. Seen here in Wapping High Street.
Flickr says Rotherhithe, it is a long wet walk from here as it is over the Thames. This is Wapping.
After final formalities within the garage, the buses were driven to storage at Clapham or new homes. Here's 2541 heading off.
I think the number of people who saw off the RMs 26 years later was much greater, but the RT symbolised the real end of LT's supremacy in vehicle engineering, just in numbers.

Note: It was actually very dark in our living room when we took this, but focus was no problem due to the auto focus assist beam on the Yongnuo YN-E3-RT controller, a feature I believe the Canon ST-E3-RT controller doesn't have at 4x$!

Last day of RT operation at Seven Kings garage November 1977 . Route 150 AP77. Behind is a DMS AP14 Route 129 . This was a Saturday, I had just finished on the night bus service N98 with a Routemaster. I remember it well as the power steering on the bus failed as I was turning a sharp right from Grace Church Street into Fenchurch Street.The garage is void of buses as the transfer vehicle ( an old RT) that was being used to transport the enginners around South London, broke down so they could not bring back the Routemaster buses for the start of the morning run out. Hence the Last RT. Just round the corner there are a few RT's awaiting to depart the garage for scrap, but went out on sevice for the last time with this RT. ( If I find my negs I might be able to Id the DMS) The quality of the print is not to good. It was procesed on a new paper that had a lining type finish from a old company called @Tudor
