Vas'ka and Yashka always sit next to me at my desk after breakfast. Either they are watching what is happening outside the window, or they are simply dozing.
Happy Saturday!

Just for appreciation, twent five minutes before, there were many more snowy egrets and other birds perched on the naked tree (of the photo already uploaded), and they were focused on the feather cleaning routine.
It is not a good close-up, due to the limitation of the lens used and the photographer. ;))
No need to comment, Flickr friends.
Have a nice weekend!

The route we were making had no interest at all.
For the driver, it was another morning working routine with other vacationers.
Occasionally he made a monotonous comment to which we paid no attention.
Upon entering the square the tower appeared.
Everything changed.
The magic and the colors of Pisa opened before our eyes

My daily routine is definitely drinking coffee, a morning without coffee is not a same day...

Raging Tranquility, calm before the storm.
“Everybody needs beauty...places to play in and pray in where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to the body and soul alike.”
― John Muir
This is one of those places. One of the most beautiful hikes I had the chance to do (Longs peak plus Chasm Lake in the Rockies). Combining all kind of landscapes, all kind of lights as well as a real physical challenge and the adrenaline of the climb (and the adrenaline of a storm coming when you’re at 14000 feets with a storm coming your way, but I would have passed on this one !).
Not very inspired for writing something down right now. Sorry guys.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you like the shot ! Feel free to fav’ it, leave a comment or share. All feedbacks are welcome

1955 Moretti 750 Sport
In the 1950s, Giovanni Moretti was serious about producing custom Italian racecars and he became king of the 750cc class with the 750 Sport and 750 Gran Sport models. They used a special twin-cam engine which was completely designed inhouse. Like all his products, these were the result of high craftsmanship and lightweight engineering which produced some of the smallest competition cars on the market.
Based in Turin, Fabbrica Automobili Moretti SpA was a small firm, but one that could take advantage of all the ateliers in the area. Initially Moretti produced a 4-cylinder overhead cam engine of his own design in 1950 that was intended for a series of Sedans, Cabriolets and Station Wagons called Giardinettas. Eventually a Sports model was offered which used the same engine, but with a twin-overhead camshaft design that produced around 60 bhp.
The potent twin-cam was installed in a custom tubular chassis then sent out to one of the many competent body shops in the area. Typically bodied in aluminum, these were either equipped with a spider or Berlinetta body, the later being penned by Giovanni Michelotti. Depending on bodystyle around 100 mph was possible.
Moretti would design and fabricate almost any design provided he could get the money upfront to produce the car. Very few were ordered outside of Italy, but Ernie McAfee had the intuition to order several Gran Sport Berlinettas into California.
Routinely, Morettis raced in the many of the small Italian hill climbs and local events in the 750cc class. They were entered in many Mille Miglias and the 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans where both cars failed to finish.
The last weeks my daily routine, when the weather allows it, is having lunch on the terrace, and by the windowsill between the living room and the terrace I have some plants and this candle....HMM flickers!! :)
Like everyone we have a routine and pretty much every weekend is the same. We wake up, we walk and most mornings I take Critter walking early, then we come home and get Squrity and the Tabby boys and then we will probably go again for a quick mess around in the shed or something.
Now each time we get back home Critter thinks he needs to be fed and of course I think he needs to as well, so have created a bad habit of feeding him every time we get back from being outside.
What you have to remember that those three walks all happen before 10am, so he wakes up and has breakfast and then has another two to three breakfasts before he settles in for his daily nap.....
Yes I know, I have created this problem.....for the most part I think it's hilarious but now having 3 more mouths to feed and them all thinking they need to eat after every excursion makes me rethink how many walks I actually want to take them on hehehehehe

Architectural description
Architectural styleItalian Gothic.
The Abbey of Saint Galgano was a Cistercian Monastery found in the valley of the river Merse between the towns of Chiusdino and Monticiano, in the province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. Presently, the roofless walls of the Gothic style 13th-century Abbey church still stand. Nearby are the chapel or Eremo or Rotonda di Montesiepi (1185), the tomb of Saint Galgano and the purported site of his death in 1181, the sword said to have been planted in the ground by Galgano and a chapel with frescoes by Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
History
The abbey formed around the site of the former hermitage of Galgano Guidotti (San Galgano), and construction of the church began around 1220, and was completed some six decades later. The abbey grew in wealth and became allied with the Republic of Siena. Monks from the abbey routinely served as Camarlinghi di Biccherna.
However within a century, the republic failed to protect it from roving condottieri, and John Hawkwood and his men despoiled the monastery beginning in 1363. By the end of the 14th-century, only the abbot remained in the monastery.
The impoverished and decaying abbey sputtered along for nearly four centuries. In 1786, the campanile fell, taking with it the roof of the church. The ruins were looted for building material. Some restorations occurred in the 19th and 20th; but the church remains only a magnificent shell among the wooded valley. The long tall nave with flechet windows and an apse rose window still stand. The abbey's chapter house and part of the scriptorium also remain.
The Rotonda chapel was restored in 1924 and retains its peculiar medieval shape, recalling imperfectly earlier Ancient Roman mausoleums.
Popular culture.
The abbey was the location where parts of Andrei Tarkovsky's 1983 film Nostalghia were shot
This is not the picture I imagine when someone works from home these days.

Owls are supposed to be wise but I never hear a squeak out of this one! He just sits there all day never flying off anyway and not bothered by the lack of food or water available and totally unfazed by events around him! I think his behaviour is a little dumb!

Back home and out of hospital, this time. Getting used to home comforts and my one to one nursing - my wife is a nurse! Settling down to a routine and beginning to think of Flickr again!
