The photograph captures the rhythmic dance of waves crashing onto the rocky shoreline of Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India, where the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean converge. The foamy surf surges forward, washing over the dark, weathered stones before receding, leaving behind a glistening trail of salt and sand. The golden hues of the setting sun cast a warm glow over the waters, blending seamlessly into the vast horizon.
In the background, the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial stands proudly on a small island, a tribute to the philosopher Swami Vivekananda, who meditated here in 1892 before spreading his teachings across the world. To the side, the towering statue of Tamil poet and saint Thiruvalluvar rises against the sky, symbolizing wisdom and virtue. The region itself carries immense historical and cultural significance, once serving as a vital maritime hub for ancient trade routes connecting India to Rome and Southeast Asia. Legends also associate Kanyakumari with Goddess Devi Kanya Kumari, believed to be an incarnation of Parvati, who stands as a divine guardian of the land.
The waves, relentless yet serene, echo the spirit of Kanyakumari—an eternal meeting point of cultures, history, and natural beauty.
Sometimes we eat not because we are hungry, it's just part of the daily routine...

one of the things I always miss after a cruise, is starting my day off logging some track and gym time... all while looking at the gorgeous ocean!

"Pouvoir côte à côté
Avancer sans douter
Rire, danser, chanter et
Toujours l'un l'autre se pousser
En avant, plus loin
Ne jamais se laisser tomber
Avec la certitude
Indiscutable de
Rêver ensemble
Encore et pour longtemps."

Misty has come to my rescue again this Macro Monday. Due to her serious allergy complaint Misty has to be medicated every day so at the moment it is a routine we have to strictly adhere to.
And the lookbook version is here.
Been sitting on this one for a while now, but life is marching ever-towards the doom of Exams. /whinges Every time I think I have my physical examination routine down pat we learn a new one and it sucks all over again.
As much as I've had these thoughts from time to time, I am grateful that I have a washer and dryer of my own and don't need to go to a laundromat.
As I photographed this bench from various angles I spotted a dog walker and was able to capture the two together. The dog clearly knows the route and leads the way leading me to believe that this is a routine that doesn't change much. That perhaps the bench is never used by this person. How do routines prevent us from getting the most out of life. Is the man really there with his dog or is he thinking about something else? The practice of mindfulness is about totally being in the moment. Isn't that why we do photography?

Route 114 in Eversfield Gardens, Mill Hill.
This is the third time 1577 has appeared on the route, and happily I've now got a nicer shot than before!
