A new complex to replace the World Trade Center destroyed on September 11, 2001, is taking shape nine years after the attacks, when hijacked planes struck the Center's Twin Towers that dominated the Lower Manhattan skyline.

The 16-acre (6.5 hectare) site is owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which is investing $11 billion in the project that is also being built by developer Larry Silverstein.

Plans call for as many as four very tall office buildings, a memorial and museum, a transportation hub and a performing arts center, all built around and on top of active rail and subway lines.

Following is a list of the main component

All three staircases at Mount Trashmore are getting replaced and the middle staircase, the one that faces the playground and can be seen from Interstate, will be the last one replaced, so The City of Virginia Beach Office of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation, sought out local artists to “Transform an iconic landmark from a functional staircase into a fun and lively public work of art that creates a unique sense of place.” The stair has 72 steps, each 7 inches high and 8 feet wide and it will be a temporary display.

About the Artist:

Aimee Bruce graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a concentration in drawing and design in 2016. She currently lives in Norfolk, Virginia, where she works as a freelance artist and muralist. Bruce is known to work with varying forms of mixed media while exploring topics ranging from the aesthetically pleasing to the politically playful.

Artist Statement:

"Helping Hands"

“My concept behind this design references Michelangelo's Creation of Adam visually, however, I wanted to focus on the hands themselves. I believe the community as a whole tries to interact and connect with each other to establish a stronger bond between people of all races, religions, genders, etc. When I think of Mount Trashmore, I think of the people and positive encounters I have experienced there."

The second running of the Clongowes 5KM Road Race and Fun Run was held in Clongoweswood College, Clane, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday March 24th 2013 at 11:00. The wonderful spring weather for the race last year was replaced by a biting Artic wind and a very strong head-wind for the runners coming into the finish along the avenue. Almost 400 participants braved the conditions and lined up on the start line for this event. This is a charity event and all proceeds will go towards the International Camp for Young Disabled, which takes place in August 2013.

The race starts and finishes in the grounds of the college. The start of the race is at the southerly part of the grounds near to Clane Golf Club. The race then proceeds out onto the Clane Kilcock Road, takes a back-road route to the Prosperous road and then back to the college. The final four hundred meters are down the wonderful straight tree lined avenue from the archway at the gate.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the organisation of this race. The race met the high starts that it set last year. This race has the potential to become a very prominent annual fixture on the North Leinster running calendar.

How can I get a full resolution copy of these photographs?

All of the photographs here on this Flickr set have a visible watermark embedded in them. All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available, free, at no cost, at full resolution WITHOUT watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, Google Orkut etc or (2) other websites, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us. I ran the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set!

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information below.

If you want to contribute something for these images?

We do not charge for these images. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that they are good enough that you would ordinarily pay for their purchase we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible.

Please note: that we cannot be responsible for the content of any external links (outside of our Flickr account) as we have no control over them. Links are provided for your information only. Responsibility lies solely with the operators of these websites.

Very cold day. The suppliers sent the wrong size fan belt and we have to flush out the green antifreeze to use red.. Wan left at 3 pm to get a new fan belt and did not return because of rain… difficult fittings to secure a small fuel hose around the new Belt Tensioner pulley that came with the van in 2015. Also came with a Repco Made in China fan belt that is not recommended as they squeak and squeal.

Having withstood the elements for many years, the seafront groynes were replaced and upgraded in spring 2014, with the highest quality of rock groynes in order to provide the best beach protection and frontage for Dover’s community. The Port of Dover wants to ensure that they are replaced with the very best to support the wider waterfront regeneration agenda being pursued for Dover. The new rock groynes made of Larvic rock from Norway, one of the most durable types of rock, that will both defend and protect the beach but also create a much more visually appealing beach environment. Part of the promenade sea wall will also be repaired at the same time.

Bring me my bow of burning gold

Bring me my arrows of desire

Bring me my spear O clouds unfold

Bring me my chariot of fire

I will not cease from mental fight

Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand

In England's green and pleasant land.

William Blackburn Fitzgerald (1856-1931), Wesleyan Methodist minister, was born at Barnard Castle, County Durham, on 22 May 1856 and educated at Kingswood School and Headingley College. In 1890 he conceived the idea of the Wesley Guild to bridge the gap between Sunday School and Church. The method worked at Roscoe Place, Leeds and was adopted by the 1896 Conference. In 1906 Fitzgerald was set apart to be secretary of the Guild at Oxford Place Chambers, Leeds. He edited the Guild Magazine, pioneered the Guild Holiday Homes and its support for medical missions. The Four Alls of Methodism' originated with him and he wrote a book The Roots of Methodism' (1903), introducing their tradition to the Methodists themselves.

Francis Owen Salisbury (1874-1962) was born in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, the son of a plumber and glazier, and was apprenticed to his brother in a stained-glass workshop in St Albans before winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy, London, where he studied from 1892 to 1897. A scholarship to visit Italy in 1896 helped establish his taste for large scenes of pageantry. He painted numerous murals in buildings and also produced easel pictures of historical events and religious and allegorical scenes. In addition he had a successful career as a portraitist, painting five British prime ministers, five US presidents, and many other notables.

But it was stained glass that remained his favourite, though not his most profitable, art form. Thirty-four windows have been confirmed as being designed by him with the largest collections being at Wesley's Chapel in London, the former National Children’s Home chapel in Harpenden, and the Forest Hill Methodist Church in London. He was elected Master of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass in 1933.

Are you kitten me right meow?! There's a new Google Chrome extension that's trying to "Make America Kittens Again" - and it's amazing! If you read the news often, you're most likely tired of seeing Trump's face everywhere online. Luckily, this new Google Chrome extension called "Make America Kittens Again" can offer you sweet relief, as it replaces images of the big guy with...you guessed it - kittens! We tested the extension and it worked great on the New York Times and Dailymail, but,
