Replacing a tie rod after Charlie got hit by a spinning car.

Replaced and moved this one also -- same softening treatment to try and integrate.

The unattractive part of the business.

The road surface was replaced in our neighborhood area during the pandemic COVID-19. This is what I saw them doing. A deposed truck drove in front of the road breaker truck. The road breaker truck crushed the old asphalt surface, and suck it through a channel dropping it to the deposed truck. A shovel track cleared up all debris. A sweeping truck made groves on the road.

The roller truck pressed down and leveling the surface. An asphalt pavers truck was laying asphalt on the road. After all, we have a new surface road.

Asphalt is obtained either as a residue from the distillation of petroleum or from natural deposits. The use of asphalt is very old, dating back to its use as a water stop between brick walls of a reservoir at Mohenjo-Daro (about the 3rd millennium BC) in Pakistan. In the Middle East it was extensively used for paving roads and sealing waterworks, important applications

Replaced brake pipes and rear hub. Took a hell of a pounding and lots of heat to get the hub off. Some copper grease on assembly would have made it a lot easier. I replaced the brake cylinder while I was at it.

On the up side, parts for the Mk.1 Yaris are very cheap.

Replaced the Fiesta. Pretty uncomfortable, gutless but it comes with a DAB radio so hey ho. To be fair, it wasn't a bad little van, great on fuel and decent in cab storage, just uncomfortable if you're over 6 foot tall and have feet.

Only had this for about 9 months.

Replaced by £4.1m raised highway & widened bridge to allow better access to an increasingly profitable industrial estate on the old Dalton airfield, this bridge is due to be removed in the next few weeks.

The Hillsborough County Superior Courthouse was erected in 1969. It was designed by the firm of Soule Associates, and replaced the county's previous 1905 courthouse, still standing in Manchester. Hillsborough County is unique in the Granite State, in that it has two seats. The other is Nashua.

Hillsborough County has around 407,000 residents and Manchester has around 110,000 residents. They are respectively the most populous county and city in their state.

First flown in Jul-90 with the Airbus test registration F-WWII, this aircraft was delivered to Adria Airways as YU-AOE, Yugoslavia in Sep-90. It was re-registered with the new Slovenia country prefix SL-AAC in Feb-92.

In early May-92 it was wet-leased, short-term, to Transmed Airlines, Egypt and returned to Adria Airways at the end of the month. The country code for Slovenia was changed from 'SL' to 'S5' in Apr-93 when the aircraft became S5-AAC.

It was wet-leased to Pegasus Airlines, Turkiye in early Apr-93 and returned to Adria at the end of Oct-93. In Apr-94 it was leased to Cretan Airlines, Greece as SX-BAU, returning to Adria as S5-AAC in Nov-94.

With 47 seconds to go in the second a glass pane had to replaced. Perhaps the ref didn't know that Zam Man and crew usually can do change one pane in under two minutes, because the ref called for the intermission and the 47 seconds would be played after the intermission.

Replacing the low voltage touchplates with conventional wall switches and adding some CAT 5e jacks.

Built in 1911-1912, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by Daniel H. Burnham and his successor firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst and White to replace the earlier Commercial National Bank Building a block away. The building was one of the last to be designed by Burnham prior to his death, and replaced another building designed by Burnham for the Commercial National Bank only five years prior, which had been outgrown by the bank after its merger with the Continental National Bank in 1910. The building stands 21 stories tall, and is clad in terra cotta with a doric colonnade at the base with fluted columns and pilasters with egg and dart trim at the capitals, a decorative entablature and cornice above the colonnade with the words “City National Bank and Trust Company” engraved into the architrave, one-over-one windows arranged into vertical columns with pilasters, decorative corbels, and recessed spandrel panels with decorative reliefs, a doric colonnade with fluted columns at the top of the building, and a low-slope roof enclosed by a parapet. The building’s upper floors surround a central light court that descends to a barrel vault roof that once soared above the banking floor, but after the building was gutted to become a hotel in 2007, the space below the roof now is a relatively mediocre and generic ballroom, with a floor having been added between the roof and the large atrium below, and the original banking hall having been downsized and had all its original details replaced with cheap-looking imitation finishes and elements that pale in comparison to the originals. Despite the unfortunate alterations to the interior that have stripped all character-defining features, the building managed to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, and today serves as a hotel. Additionally, the building is a contributing structure in the West Loop–LaSalle Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. The building is one of several structures along LaSalle Street that form a historic Skyscraper “Canyon” that terminates at the tallest structure along the street, the Board of Trade Building.
