Ceilings are Zinsser Stainblock Ceiling Paint in flat bright white (straight out of the can). Light fixtures are West Elm's Sculptural Glass Faceted Flushmount - Small (Milk). Jokingly nicknamed in our friend group as "The Golden Gate" this pedestrian bridge over Ferromex's Guadalajara yard gives us a great view of the south end of the freight yard, that is, if you find a gap between the chain link fences.

Our subject is a pair of EMD GP38-2s on the head end of the industrial zone job with the usual SW1504 at the rear. Leading is a former NdeM high-hood GP35 number 8218, now Ferromex 2003, it was rebuilt to GP38-2 specs during the late 80's at the Concarril shops in Ciudad Sahagún, state of Hidalgo. It also got a chopped nose with it's latest repaint around 2013-2014.

Behind it is Ferromex 2026, one of four remaining GP38-2's built for Ferrocarriles Unidos del Sureste (FUS) without dynamic brakes.

I uh, tried to paint the basket to make it look slightly less plasticky. I have mixed feelings about the result. It looks kinda like I just slapped paint all over it (which was pretty much what happpened). Should I scrape off all the paint and redo it?
