I will not accept having exact duplicates of shoes anymore! From now on I'm repainting any duplicate shoes or accessories.
I got bored and repainted my Inque again. I know, I'm impossible getting bored with my dolls so easily, but repainting is better than always buying a new one. LOL Let's see how long this version will last. ;p
Walls are Benjamin Moore 'Classic Gray' (Regal Select) in an eggshell finish. Ceilings are Zinsser Stainblock Ceiling Paint in flat bright white (straight out of the can). Ceiling fixture is West Elm's large mobile chandelier. The print is PopChartLab's 'Birds of North America'.
I sold my first Ayumi repaint, so I made an attempt to recreate it.
Of course it would have been boring to do the exact same one, so I took this resculpt a bit further and used a different make up and hair, but in the end she was loosely inspired by Zhou Xun again. I named her Wei Meilian.
Sorry for the crappy pictures. I try to make a proper photo session with her as soon as possible. Even her hair is still wet from the styling in the pics, but I was too exited to wait. ;)

Monster High Dead Tired Cleo de Nile repaint. Finally got around to it, painted her yesterday. I thought it would be a good idea to paint some henna-patterns on her hands... Her teeny, tiny hands. That was quite hard and ended up a bit too messy for my tastes, but for now, it'll have to do and I'm not sure I want to redo it, ever xD
I also made the saree, though I'm either going to buy or make her a better one in the future.
Close-up of her hands, without flash.
Final Product. I used a silver sharpie to repaint the pointy spots and black sharpie to repaint a portion of the roof.
As for the rubber treads, I stripped them off a wooden Bryon. Both item shares identical chassis.
It was relatively easy to remove the treads off Bryon since Bryon's chassis and the body are hold together by several screws.
Reinstalling the treads onto thumper posted numerous challenges. The gap between the chassis and the body is extremely narrow for obvious reason. I had to flip the treads inside out and used the pulley system to slide the tread from one end to the other. That's the easy part. Pulling the tread out was the difficult part due to limited spaces. I broke one of the treads as I pulled them out. I used super glue to glue the tread back. Not recommended without adult supervision. It is really hard to explain in words. I am impress how I pulled it off.
Here' a Tonner repaint I did a while ago but didn't do anything with the hair. She had an up do originally with lots of bald patches so I filled them in and gave her bangs.
This is my first Operetta repaint. She has purple/red eyes (a mix of her skin tone and hair color.) I cut her hair shorter because it was in clumps and tangles.
'Cover with a new coat of paint'

Commercial Road, Guildford, Surrey.
My freshdolls Gabrielle with a hair restyle and a repaint inspired by Kawaii style art and pastels. I had no real plan going into this repaint but I knew I wanted to avoid black paint and keep the face looking super soft and cute looking.
I kept the colour palette to only four colours but I’m not sure if I did okay cuz my usual style is usually a lot more defined colours and contrasts to the face heh.
After outlining the eyes a little, I go back and start to add the eyeshadow. This is just the first coat... so it won't be as even as it will be when we're finished.
I put a darker color next to the eye, for the upper eyelid... then I use the same color, but add a lot of retardant so it stays wet, and brush it on over the area where I want the eyeshadow to be.
I then take a q-tip and smudge it so that the edges are not sharp lines.
I add some of the color under the eye as well.
Before hair was curled My third Barbie repaint ever! (the first was the failed zombie, 2nd still needs clothes) I got this brunette Barbie with original game Tomb Raider Lara Croft in mind, but decided that would need a closed mouth mold... so she became Angelina Jolie more on the blog:http://merineiti.wordpress.com/2014/03/25/barbie-repaint-angelina/

Myscene Repaint and Fur Wig.
I hate this fur, but I love the colour, is so cute, caramel-like. The quality is awful, unfortunately.
I don't like how the repaint came out. I've got to keep on with the practice, I guess.
Destiny is a full repaint with hazel green/brown eyes. Her lids are shaded with petal pink, dark brown and sienna brown, then highlighted with bone. Her lips are berry and lightly shaded. Anja's hair is left down and free from product.

Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

My first try at repainting a Barbie! I'm pretty happy with how she came out for my first try! I can't wait to try again! ^^
I did her hair too. :) She might need a reroot anyway, since it seems a little sparse on top... Maybe that'll be my next experiment!
Some dolls are just more fun to repaint than others. Clawdeen is definately one of my new favourites.
Next up: Howleen! Get pumped!
