A live music venue on Houston Street that closed after a flood. Curious as to what the new mural signifies.
I fully repainted a dead tired Cleo de Nile doll .i also glued on hair (much easier but messier than rerooting) and fitted a live top into a dress.
First MH repaint. Finally splurged and got myself some MSC (very expensive here....) so I can paint some of these dolls I've been accumulating. Lots of room for improvement, and I don't know why her nose looks yellow. :P
I do miss the Century Brown colour - but realtor thinks uniform colour througout my small place is best. So since he is the expert...I went with it.
I will not accept having exact duplicates of shoes anymore! From now on I'm repainting any duplicate shoes or accessories.
I got bored and repainted my Inque again. I know, I'm impossible getting bored with my dolls so easily, but repainting is better than always buying a new one. LOL Let's see how long this version will last. ;p
I sold my first Ayumi repaint, so I made an attempt to recreate it.
Of course it would have been boring to do the exact same one, so I took this resculpt a bit further and used a different make up and hair, but in the end she was loosely inspired by Zhou Xun again. I named her Wei Meilian.
Sorry for the crappy pictures. I try to make a proper photo session with her as soon as possible. Even her hair is still wet from the styling in the pics, but I was too exited to wait. ;)
My first Maleficent repaint is somewhat finished now. Those horns are so magnificent... I keep turning her head around and imagining her as a bull. ;-D
I'm going to repaint my other Malificent and then take dramatic battle pictures outside in the woods.
Custom repaint of the Zombie Viper. All the joints have been sculpted in and the figure was given a head to toe repaint.
This has to be one of the coolest figures they've put out in a while... I felt it needed a paint job to do it a little more justice.
Here’s Apollo, my third Galaxy inspired Allan repaint and 32nd Allan doll overall in my collection. This Allan came with severe red stains on his face so I’ve been itching to try incorporating it into a custom so he’s sat around for awhile.
I guess I’m frustrated with this custom cuz it’s my first custom where a majority of it is done in chalk pastel, and it’s nearly impossible to get really bright and vibrant colours. I ended up using half a can of msc on this one doll which is ridiculous to me when I can get brighter colours using paint.
But, having a day to cool off and separate the doll from the ideal in my mind, he’s not a bad custom. In fact I’m really proud of how well the pastels blended together and how much more subtle this galaxy print looks.
His eye paint is very 90s inspired and I was hoping to invoke that feeling you get when you see Sailor Moon transform and her entire body is galaxies except for her eyes.
So i wanted a Japanese vintage Skipper but since she was a Japanese exclusive in the 60s her aftermarket price is ridiculously high so I had to settle for my own repaint of her lol.
So this is one of the bald skippers I recently got. Her original paint had staining on it so I wiped it and did my own thing. I was lazy and glued on a wig from a Japanese from a souvenir doll. Though it wasn’t really a wig but a bunch of fibres glued together so it’s why I opted to glue it directly to Skipper lol.
Her body is an 80s Skipper body but the arms faded so much that it matched the grey 60s skin tone so I whipped up a kimono to cover the mismatches heh. The fabric was from my BJD days when I bought this print for one of my Japanese characters but i never got around to making anything out of it. As you can see the print is waaaaaaay too big for 1/6th dolls but as a yukata the print is passable lol.
My Skipper collection is getting out of hand lol.
I bought another Hermione doll today cuz I wanted to steal her body for another doll and decided to do a quick face up on her head since I wasn’t in love with the paint at all.
I also decided to put her on a modified Disney Descendants body with the calves shortened with Disney Store feet cuz It was the same height as her old body but it was fuller.
Repaint by JustCreations, gown by Franklin Mint. I love this outfit and the crown and necklace. The gown that this doll originally came with was so drab by comparison.
Repainted with a fresher look for the beach. More natural than my usual make up style. The jumpsuit was a quick fix for this pictorial.
MTA Bridges and Tunnels is sprucing up its toll plazas, repainting toll booths at all nine crossings a uniform and familiar color, MTA blue. The actual color is called “safety blue” but it happens to also coincides closely with the color of the MTA logo. The last time all 150 toll booths and their surrounding concrete islands, curbs, and bullnoses were painted was 2001.

Mais Oui Giselle has been fully repainted with acrylics and pastels and sealed with UV spray. She has applied lashes painted turquise with lighter tips and matching turquoise flock.

After outlining the eyes a little, I go back and start to add the eyeshadow. This is just the first coat... so it won't be as even as it will be when we're finished.
I put a darker color next to the eye, for the upper eyelid... then I use the same color, but add a lot of retardant so it stays wet, and brush it on over the area where I want the eyeshadow to be.
I then take a q-tip and smudge it so that the edges are not sharp lines.
I add some of the color under the eye as well.
