When I was around 8-10 years old I repainted a lot of my toy cars – I still have many of those in a box somewhere! These pair, however, may have been inspired by John Lennon's Rolls-Royce Phantom V. I had two Dinky 198 Phantoms, the other survived without modification: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/9066268300
The plastic BMC 1100 body shell is probably made in Hong Kong, but I'm not sure of the manufacturer. Most of the HK copies seem to be of the Dinky, and have opening bonnets.
I seem to remember my mother being unimpressed by the way Lennon abused his car, so repainting mine like this was an act of rebellion :)
So I've got me several Bratzillaz to repaint. I thought "they're pretty, why can't I find more than a couple repaints of them on internARGH CAN'T PUT THOSE EYES BACK THE FACE-UP IS HALF RUINED OH MY FINGERNAIL!"
And that's why nobody repaints them.
Just what everyone wants... a movie accurate Mattel 'Tangled Ever After' doll! She's my first ever reroot, and after the amount of time it took, I don't think I'll be doing too many more. In addition to the repaint, I also softened the point of her chin a little.
Having repainted both the Mattel and Disney Store Rapunzels now, I have to say I think the Disney Store doll is the more faithful to the character; I found it much harder getting something approaching a likeness with the Mattel doll. I was also pretty appalled by the drop in quality that seems to have occurred at Mattel with the recession - non-bendable legs, on a doll this price? Disney Store's definitely better value and quality, I'd say.

scusate la schifezza, minimamente paragonabile a quella di esperti, ora apprezzo molto di più il lavoro che fanno, sembra facile a dirsi, ma è difficile davvero dipingere gli occhi..non riesco a stendere decentemente l'acrilico...dopotutto nmmeno a scuola riuscivo a stendere la tempera....X__X
Today's coach collection, former Armchair Volvo B10M-48 Van Hool Alizee T9 Y22 APT. It has been with Aldermaston Coach Lines for around a year now although has yet to turn a wheel. It is seen here at York Pullman's yard this morning, 3rd May 2024, following repaint by Meridian Coachworks.
I nearly finished a repaint I was working on since longer, my Marilyn OOAK doll. I didn´t want her to look like a sexbomb, but to have a vulnerable and sweet expression, like she was captured on many photos made by Milton Green.
Still don´t know which outfit to make for her. any suggestions?
