Today's coach collection, former Armchair Volvo B10M-48 Van Hool Alizee T9 Y22 APT. It has been with Aldermaston Coach Lines for around a year now although has yet to turn a wheel. It is seen here at York Pullman's yard this morning, 3rd May 2024, following repaint by Meridian Coachworks.
I got two new dolls today: a bald Nadja without a face and nude NF Dominique. This meant make over for 3 dolls. Adele got the Dominique body, Dominique got the DG body Adele head use to be on and Nadja needed a face and hair, so I spend all day working on this trio.
Adele is a classic beauty and more beautiful than ever in the NF body. I wanted to give Nadja an extremely edgy look and Dominique looked so childish in the DG body that I just went with that and she became a lolita style teen.
Originally the heels/soles, plus the heart buckle at the ankle, were this atrocious hot pink that was super-sloppily applied. It was seriously awful! I repainted those bits copper (more on the Robecca side than the Draculaura side, you know), and also painted the little sprockets and the heart dial at the top copper as well. They were originally just black and you couldn't see the cute detail. I only did the outside of either boot, since that makes it easier for me to tell which shoe goes on which foot.
Here is my first attempt at a full body repaint of a doll because it’s literally cobbled together from pieces of broken deuce and Holt dolls so nothing matched (broken hips, missing arms, replaced feet, etc) so I decided to turn him into my Spike the dragon custom.
His body is a few sprays of regular enamel spray paint meant for plastics while his head was painstakingly painted in very thin coats of acrylic to match the spray painted body.
I sprayed both his head and body with MSC but for different reasons. His body was glossy as heck so I figured a matte spray with both protect the paint and to help it make it look more matte. However this kinda melted the paint off from his fingertips and toes so I don’t recommend MSC-ing enamel spray paint lol.
His head got a healthy dose of MSC to protect it while I give him a face up so woo.
Some things I would do differently next time is sand down his shoulder joints so they don’t rub against his torso and chip away at the paint/give the paint coat some room. I would also prime his body a bit better to help the paint stick and sand down the joints so they don’t rub against each other as badly.
Now to not mess up on his face.
Did this for fun! Totally hate the lashes and the eye liner is a bit messy but I think it came out pretty good considering this is my first FULL repaint..I'll probably re paint her again since I'm not feeling the lashes x) Oh BTW I currently don't have a camera, I'm sending mine to the company so I can get a new one..my current cam has been acting really derpy lately. But if I'm not posting a lot of pics that's why..but I'll be back to posting pics soon!
Repaint nearly finished! I just have to make templates for the wallpaper on the top floor before I bash the roof on properly. Right now it's just balanced loosely on top. I spent quite a bit of time last night bashing the walls into the floor with a tent peg. I also need to pop in the front door.

Doesn't Ghoulia just make the perfect Goth chick? XD
Her facial structure really lends itself for a more mature, sexy look.
I bought the Rapunzel wedding doll at the Disney store, repainted it, and gave her a barbie dress that reminded me of the dress she wears at the end of Tangled
Face up on a Pullip for Moonfairydolly (I upload the face up pictures later ^_^)
I got eyes and the wig for the face up colors and I'm so in love with this wig from leeke. She looks so eternal! <3
The first thing worth mentioning is that Draculaura's face went a peach tone when I wiped the paint off. I don't know if it was what I used, or how vigorous I was, but it was a bit disappointing. ,It's not too noticeable and I'll find some way to make sure it doesn't happen again.
She is so cute! I really love how she turned out. I'm going for a cyberpunk look for her, and I'm still not sure about her hair. She was a Dead Tired Draculaura and so the hair was probably the most difficult I could have picked to work with, but this is after I had to tie it back to paint her, and it did look pretty good before that.
Anyway, not sure about a name yet, so if you think she looks like a certain name, do share ^^
Abellio Surrey 8769 (LK56 JKN), now in the new Abellio Surrey livery. Well, sort of.
After the 8762, the first Pegasus Dart to be done, was treated to a grey face, they decided it looked crap, they'd tweak the design, and repaint 8762.
In the intervening two years, 8762 never did get corrected, and other repaints had a white front (when it plainly would look better red...).
However, recent repaints have regressed even further. 8769 here, as can be seen, has grey on the front, and, on the side, it's missing the grey swoop above the red.
But it does have the grey swoop on the nearside!

Monster HIgh repaint
Her outfit is custom made and OOAK.
She wears removable hat, stockings, sleeves, original MH shoes (repainted) and non-removable dress.
The mohair I'm using to reroot my Monster High Draculaura. It's shorter than the material I used for Frankie.
Cleo! Probably my least favorite sculpt, she's kinda boring. But even so, I gotta repaint 'em all! hah!

The Shelly repaint is slowly getting there, with just a few things to do before I'll be considering it complete. The two main jobs left are adding the branding to the interior cove panels for ticket prices and the pictures of the different Seasiders (which I'm going to have to draw...) and, on the rear, add the "great value fares" at the top. It's written in that weird splatter-like font that the Seasiders' names are in, so I'm going to have to draw half the letters from scratch.
Most recent additions (from earlier today) are the price banners on the rear, the shells on the cove panels and the sky/kite image on the upper deck ceiling, although back near the beginning of June I made the 'welcome aboard' graphic on the driver's door and a couple of other interior bits.
As I put last time I uploaded a Shelly update, I still don't know what the deal is with the ALX enhancement pack and whether I'll use it to create further Seasider repaints. From what I've read it appears to require the SP Renown as a dependency to work - which is a paid DLC and I don't own it - so do I spend £10 or however much it is just to blank out the rear window?
Also, I'm pretty sure this open topper is from an older variant of that same enhancement pack... so is this version even available anymore? I'll be substantially less than impressed if the repaint I just spent the best part of a year making can't be released because the version of bus it's for is no longer available. Guess I'll ask on FellowsFilm and see if anyone can be bothered to reply to me.
Lancashire United Ex Lothian TL11 engined Leyland Olympain 47 (B747GSC) visits Keighley for repaint into Yellow. On the left is Keighley & Distict's Ford Transit pickup 065 X465NCP.
My Devon got a new look today since her old face up got all messy in my move to China. I went all futuristic and weird with this one and had lots of fun. Not sure how versatile she will be though as no wig suits her better than being bald! :D
She wears a Syb shirt, Numina shoulder strap and Inamorata belt.
