I present to you Queen M's Count Lachlan by Doll Anatomy! Once upon a time in real life, an angelic boy child was born and his loving parents named him Lachlan. But, Latchlan was not healthy like other children. And, his mother and father soon learned that their new angel had an illness that could prevent him from reaching adulthood. Despite the medical predictions- Lachlan's parents remained high spirited and decided to make the most of their short time with their son. But one day, Lachlan's mother noticed that her young child had developed a lock of white hair due to his condition worsening. When the doctor in the town could no longer help Lachlan with medicines- he told Lachlan's parents about a magical Queen who took in orphans and the sick. The doctor explained that all who remained in the loving care of the magical Queen M were healed, protected, and lavished in love.
Desperate to help their son, later that evening, the mother and father took Lachlan to the magical Queen M. By the time they arrived to the palace- Lachlan had gone blind and his heart beat was weak and fading. As the parents approached the magical Queen M with their dying child, the Queen smiled and embraced him. She promised Lachlan's mother that she would save her son's life. That night, Queen M marveled at the angelic child as she reflected on the love that had brought him to her.
The magical Queen M kept her promise, and Lachlan, now Count Lachlan, did grow to be a healthy and strong warrior. Count Lachlan in gratitude to the Queen, protects her and all of her children night and day. The adversaries hearing rumors of Count Lachlan's condition as a child always plan their attacks at night in a hope that he will not be able to see them. And, they all draw their swords toward his weak heart. But unknown to the adversaries who have, to no avail, repeatedly tried to defeat the brave Count- upon Lachlan's arrival to the palace that evening long ago- the magical Queen M took his blind eyes and she replaced them with the eyes of a wolf so that he would have a keen sight high and low in the dark. And that same night- she took Count Lachlan's weak heart, that til this day, she lovingly holds in her left hand at the palace for safe keeping. Count Lachlan never takes his heart into battle with him, and he remains forever well in the loving care of the magical Queen M.

Just another photo of my repaint... I'm getting ready to list these guys on ebay and I'm a little nervous about it. I've never sold a repaint before XD
So I have been wanting to do some doll repaints for a while now but I wasn't sure what dolls I wanted to do them on and then I saw people customizing Monster High dolls and I really love their face shapes and their lips and I decided to try it out. This is originally a Draculaura doll and she is my first custom repaint. She is still awaiting her wig. After I get it I will post more photos.
I've enjoyed doing this so much that I am going to be doing a lot more ^^ and as I get better and if people are interested I will probably start making some to sell.
After adding the black, I go back and add the irises.
I always start with a very dark base (they almost look black here, but they aren't!) because it's much easier to paint the lighter colors on top of the darker ones, than to try to get a perfect dark outline on the eye.
I also add the accents to the mouth at this point. I decided I wanted this Frankie to have a smile... so I took black paint and painted in her lip line... giving her upturned corners to her mouth. If you look at my Standard Clawdeen, you can see how I made her frown using the same method.
I also enhance the eye makeup at this point. Remember... go with VERY thin layers when doing eye makeup. It's much easier to add than to subtract at this point... and you don't want to have to start over.
I've never done a reroot OR repaint before, but I think she came out alright for my first attempt.
This wasn't planned, I actually had no choice Lol.
I bought this doll originally from tuesday morning, and when I opened her up...my goodness...
This doll had the absolute WORST case of glue seepage I have ever seen. Her hair from roots to end was sticky and clumpy and horrible. So I decided to reroot her.
BUT
While I was boiling her head so that I could pop it off, somehow her face paint rubbed off.
So as a result, I had to repaint her face as well.
Let me know what ya think!! I tried my best to save her
I've finally finished my sweet Momoko. She was a 'Go for Victory' but I knew right from the beginning that I would customize her as soon as possible. It took me quite some time to finish her but now I'm so happy! She's my second Momoko repaint and I was trying new techniques and colours. It was an adventure for sure but it was worth it. So now she has new hair and a new face, she needs a name! I have a few names in my mind but I still can't decide which one would suit her best >///<
