"Heron Silhouette Flight on Watercolor Background" by Patti Deters. A Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) can be seen in flight as a silhouette carrying a vine or a branch in his beak as he flies to his nesting site. The shoreline below has been rendered in textured digital watercolor with blue and peach and a little bit of brown sandy beach. If you like this outdoor digital art, please enjoy more (scenic, landscape, waterscapes, birds, more!) at patti-deters.pixels.com. This particular artwork is for sale on a variety of products at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/heron-silhouette-flight-... (printed and shipped WITHOUT watermark) through Fine Art America (FAA) which offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Since so many liked the original I did a remix... Winter has arrived in Otherworld... =)
Another Thursday, another pond, this time at Bramshill Common. Fresh from reasonable success photographing a damselfly there were hints that the sky might colour for sunset. This pond (which incidentally looks like a face from the air - the 2 eyes are the islands in this picture) is surrounded by trees with a few opens large enough to afford a clear view. This is facing north, so less than ideal for the sunset (indeed, most of the action seemed to be going on behind me). However, the sky did colour up for a few minutes and the calm water rendered some pleasing reflections. In addition, the low sunlight was catching the tops of the trees. All in all, not too shabby!

This is Grace Kelly, a 16 weeks young male red squirrel. The hard sunlight rendered a nice squirrel-shadow on the tree
I was trying to go for a surreal park setting that seemed to appear as if it was in a dream. It was rendered in a 3D landscape generator and then afterwords I did some post work on it in PSP X5... It was color process and I gave it that dreamy look. Hope you like it! Artwork by Dan Seitzinger Copyright (c) D.M.S Studios, DanMar Creations.

A render I did a while ago. I wasn´t lazy the last years and learned a lot of things about working with Blender.
When the world comes clear,
changeless in its changing,
and everywhere revealed,
this sun might be lighting
a rendered wall inscribed
by winter tree's shadow;
when the world comes clear
light might seem to shift
to show a morning free of any other time;
when the world comes clear
something pulling tight within
your mind might fall away
to leave a formless space,
a fathomless space in which
eternal life cannot be granted
or even offered,
but only recognised, so simply,
as what you are.

Here's another picture from last winter taken in the Glencoe area. I am only finding time now to go through all of them. Bert is currently on restrictive exercise again as his hind leg has been sore lately. Dogs are so fragile sometimes. At least Bert is. Let's hope it is only temporary......

(This was rendered by Brickman from the Lego Gallery, and not by me. Give him the glory for this gorgeous image, and the design of the 'fig.)
This is the Kingsfield Trotter, a lightweight reconnaissance walker used on the outskirts of the Highborn Empire, primarily in the Wide Wastes and deserts of Pzjim. Though usually disdained by the Imperial Forces for its lack of heavy armament, the local militias and mercenaries of the Wastes make great use of the Trotter in their patrols, its twin anti-infantry gatling cannons being perfectly suited to dealing with the disorganized outcasts, bandits, and monsters of that region.
