Ray 701W was a Seddon new in April 1981 to Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, the last tax liabilty was due in May 1991 therefore it has probably been scrapped, I must admit I expected that the registration number would yield some pointless luxury car when I fed it to the DVLA.
Judging by the mess in the background perhaps the vehicle was involved in a clear-up after market day.

Heavy showers a day before stripped the sky of clouds helping the early sun rays gushing through the branches of trees at Sanjay Van.
Another one from my trip to Bright. Shot this one on the Oven's River. It wasn't misty at all but somehow still managed to get some Crepuscular rays which was a bit strange, not that I was complaining.
At first I thought this was a Manta Ray, but after a little research I realized it was, in fact, a type of Stingray called a Bat Ray. It lacks the cephalic lobes/flaps at the front of its head which only the Manta rays have.
There are actually two stingrays in this image, the second one is below and in the background :)
I had the privilege of visiting the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago on April 8th, 2016, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The sun shining through the trees and bonfire smoke at Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve in Hampshire.
Just out catching a moment where the sun drips through the clouds creating a a few soft rays that reach to the ground.
Ray is another member of the Great Notley Photography Club www.gnpc.co.uk who kindly offered to be my subject for these test shots.
the lighting was just two portable flashunits the Vivitar 285hv's. On to the right with a 60cm Easy softbox and the other to create the halo of light on the black backdrop positioned immediately behind the subject pointed up slightly from a low light stand.
Flashes fired using RF-602 wireless triggers.
This week is where the autumn colors peak down in southern Sweden. Last year was a success to catch that colors =)

Ray knows that if he sits on my lap he might soon be disturbed so he prefers to sit with his head resting on my leg. It's all very relaxing but nothing gets done ! This is the seat by the pond . Luckily I had my camera and fired a few shots from above my head and struck it lucky with this one.
Spotted these beautiful sun rays bursting through the trees yesterday on my morning walk. I didn't have my "big" camera with me but luckily I did have my mobile phone.

Back in December, I finally had the chance to see what the fuss is all about with the winter sunsets at Pfeiffer Beach. Everyone else seems to have this shot in their portfolio, and I'd been itching to get it for the past year or so.
Like sunset at Tunnel View or sunrise at Mesa Arch (definitely to need to make it there), this is one of those places where you jockey for position with a bunch of other photogs. As such, it's always fun to see what kind of mood everyone is in. On this night, there was one guy who had staked out his position before everyone else and was set up dead center in the water. This meant that anyone wanting to shoot the rock from straight-ish on needed to set up next to him, which also meant standing in the very cold water. He was decked out in waders, but nobody else was looking to stand knee deep in the water. Now, when you're there first, you can certainly set up wherever you please and I'll work around you, but I don't necessarily see why you need to drop the tripod and walk away, like some sort of dog marking his spot. I'm sure most people can be civil and work together to allow everyone to get the images they want without coming to blows. I've got to give him credit, though, because he stood his ground and took the verbal abuse, mainly coming from one other guy who was definitely not a happy camper. I hope he got his shot.
Anyway, he wasn't really bothering me that much and I was able to come away with a shot I'm happy with. For the most part, the tide too high to get many big splashes with that light hitting the spray, but this was probably one of the better chances the whole evening. The sunset turned out to be pretty epic, and I've got some shots from further up the beach from the rock that I'm working through. They have some potential, I think.
