We saw FOUR of these fellas. I learned that I can beckon members of the chipmunk/squirrel/Giang family. However, their loyalties lie with people who bring snacks.

My parents put Rex to sleep couple of hours ago. I am so sad. I have been crying ever since I found out that he had cancer 2 months ago. I think it was time for him to go peacefully...but I don't know how to deal with a loss of a dog who has been my friend for 12 years.
I am super sad :'-(
Secret: The skirt is technically a maternity skirt, but there's no big ugly elastic belly panel or anything else that seems to make it specificly maternity, and it's so damn comfortable that I may pretend it's not a maternity skirt and try to get away with wearing it next summer. If you catch me wearing it when I'm no longer pregnant, please don't tell anyone which section of the ON website it came from.
This is the reason I've not been snapping many photos this fall. The new (old) abode had a cariage house / garage with a roof that was falling in. Insurance guy said we had 30 days to fix it, or lose insurance. I tried to repair, but the inspector said it wasn't built to code in the first place, so I got a stop work notice. Changes required historic district approval. They meet once per month. Needed to increase the pitch. Drafted plans. Got approval.
The folks at the City of Rockville were very helpful and pleasant, which made the process easier.
Started working. Got cool toys (nailgun) :-) Found nailgun does a nice job attaching fingers to header boards :-(

My brother and his sons helped put the shingles on over Thanksgiving... It started raining. It was cold and miserable.
Next few photos show the progress toward the completed project. Now I can get back to taking photos!!

During the 1930's, London Transport put out an order for a variant of AEC's highly successful Regent III double-decker bus for use in the city, and thus the AEC Regent RT (or more commonly known as the RT bus) was created to satisfy.
During and after World War II the RT became the standard bus for London Transport, and was somewhat of an icon that was continued in the more successful AEC Routemaster that replaced it in the 1950's.
The last RT's were retired in 1979 from Barking garage, but many have been preserved and continue to trundle about the city of London on tours and private hire runs.
This bus is number RT191, one of the first vehicles delivered after the war in 1947, and served with London Transport until 1963 when it was bought for a private collection, eventually finding its way into preservation in 1966.
After the recent fires that spread over 600 Kms burning entire forests cities and villages, a group of voluntaries walks through the railroad besides the burnt Manquehua train station, helping country side villages recover basic services like water, shelter and essential provisions.

Huguette preferred the seclusion of our cabin veranda to spend much of her time at sea. She had a whole bunch of books on her Kindle and, when she ran out, she downloaded more using the convenient wireless Internet service available throughout the ship (for a fee, of course).
Alumni and friends put on their UMass Amherst knit hats and came out for a great night of baseball as the Boston Red Sox took on the Colorado Rockies at Fenway Park. Before the game, fans met up at the Game On, listening to the Minuteman Marching Band spread UMass pride with a performance on Jersey Street, and watched the Vocal Suspects sing a jaw-dropping rendition of the National Anthem on the field. Representing UMass Amherst, Men's Hockey Coach Greg Carvel threw the first pitch and was accompanied by Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy, as well as leadership from across the five campuses. A portion of each ticket sale supported the Greater Boston Alumni Network Scholarship Fund. Go UMass!

Stuffed animal carcasses inside were another put off for me from entering the Black Temple or Black House. And although I did not enter, I have read on many websites from people who have visited that a huge wooden table, as coming from the time of the Vikings, attracts you immediately as you enter. The table is surrounded by massive black chairs with legs made from buffalo horns, is laid with snake and crocodile skins as table-runners. Wandering on the Black House grounds, you are constantly coming across animal remains. Animal skins, skulls, furs and bones are everywhere. There are also intricate wooden carvings and chairs made from buffalo horns. According to some opinions, the Black House with its animal remains represents the sufferings on Earth, sickness, and death. It portrays the darkness of humanity and hell. However, the artist didn’t intend to create a Hell Temple (as the Black House is often referred to) but a place to showcase his artwork. Many have described the Black Temple as bizzare, weird, creative, surreal, provocative, and creepy. But however controversial, one must admit that Thawan Duvhaneework, the artist has left his mark, and a pretty strong one at that. The artist died in 2014 at the age of 74. And although I might have issues with the Black House and it's overall theme and subsequent commercialization, a selfie was still in order as an 'I was there' shot. As I helped put up an Ox piece with Jordan Seiler in Atlanta a man in a wheel chair sat unmoving in the intense heat of a blazing sun completely wrapped in felt, unmoving, undead. His body, completely covered in open wounds, I called to him repeatedly while standing over his chair. Eventually I thought that he was dead, but then he began to move, some recognition deep down. I was offering him a bottle of water. As his head tilted upward to look in my direction his eyes began to open revealing no pupils nor whites, but a solid red as if blood, not tears, filled his eyes. His shaking hand slowly moved to the bottle and his fingernails - as long as his fingers - scraped upon the bottle, gently, cautiously, then he took it a made a sound like a slow moan, almost mimicking the highway just beyond the cement wasteland I found him in. He was thanking me in a universal language which we both understood. And then I moved on and encountered more and more. Since arriving here I am constantly shocked and outraged by Man's inhumanity to Man in a land which prides itself on an ideology of equality, freedom, justice.
I am both inspired and saddened to find myself in a land where life is cheap and death sits on street corners alone and abandoned, like the city itself, little more than dead space. There is nothing in such a place which enables me to feel more pride than sorrow. Yet patriotism can be found even here. His chair had an American flag bound to it.

Tri izraelska višenamjenska borbena aviona F-16 Barak prvi put su u četvrtak, 2. kolovoza 2018. oko 14 sati sletjela u 91. zrakoplovnu bazu Hrvatskog ratnog zrakoplovstva na Plesu.
Prilikom ulaska u hrvatski zračni prostor, izraelske avione dočekao je avion MiG-21 Hrvatskog ratnog zrakoplovstva nakon čega ih je dopratio do zrakoplovne baze.
Riječ je višednevnom prijateljskom posjetu Zračnih snaga Države Izrael Hrvatskom ratnom zrakoplovstvu.
