Floris was put to sleep by the vet. 16 years old. He could not go on like this. He lost a lot of weight and strength and the inflamation of his nose got worser and worser .This was caused by a polyp in the nose against the eye socket that couldnot be operated. The antibiotics didnot work anymore. There was no longer any prospect of improvement.
The inflammation had become very bad. He was on painkillers the last two month.
De dierenarts heeft Floris laten inslapen. Net 16 jaar oud. Zo kon hij niet verder. Hij verloor veel gewicht en kracht en de ontsteking van zijn neus werd erger en erger. Dit werd veroorzaakt door een poliep in de neus tegen de bovenkant van de oogkas aan die niet kon worden geopereerd. De antibiotica werkten niet meer. Er was geen zicht meer op verbetering. De ontsteking was heel erg geworden. Hij gebruikte de afgelopen twee maanden pijnstillers.

Landegode fyr ist ein Leuchtturm an der norwegischen Küste bei Bodø, Nordland. Der Leuchtturm liegt auf der Schäre Egglesøya, ein Stück nördlich der namensgebenden Insel Landegode (Landego). Der Leuchtturm und das Haus des Leuchtturmwärters wurden 1901 erbaut. 1902 wurde der Leuchtturm in Betrieb genommen. Der 29 Meter hohe, runde Leuchtturm besteht aus Gusseisen.
Die Schiffe der Hurtigrute passieren auf der Fahrt nach Norden den Leuchtturm Landegode kurz nach dem Auslaufen aus Bodø.

The ships of the Hurtigrute pass Landegode lighthouse shortly after leaving Bodø on their way north.

I put fresh seed out on top of the one inch of freezing rain to make it easier for the birds to reach the seed. However, the FOSP chose to dig the seed out with his huge claws. He has a piece of cracked corn in his beak with a bit of ice on it. He also has ice crystals on his tail and feathers. FOSPs are one of my favorite Winter visators.

Xenia Rubinos put on one of my favorite performances at Pitchfork Music Festival, emerging first on the stage wrapped in bubble wrap and then trailing a ribbon of blood. It was quite profound. She really has a passion especially for sticking up for those who are being mistreated. I also randomly met her after her set and she was quite nice. I didn't have my camera out because it was pouring but it was still nice to be able to tell her how much I enjoyed her set.

Approaching the philosophy where "less is more", this shot puts a young man completely dressed in black at the centre of the scene, perfectly perpendicular to the black and white lines of the wall behind him. The young man walks with a confident and slow step, with a well-upright posture, as if to underline his confident presence, immersed in probably listening to his favourite music, as can be seen from the headphones on his ears, and intent on continuing his walk towards a destination unknown to the observer. A minimalist scene that nevertheless seeks strength in the contrast of lines, the horizontal ones of the wall and the vertical ideological one represented by the young man.
