Nothing here to make me want it myself, but I have to admit, for commercial tie-ins, these are pretty nice toys. They seem like they'd encourage kids to be creative, which is always nice...

This chunk of lint has been causing my laptop to cease up by overheating.

полу-выходной день. небо красивое - голубое и с облаками.

иногда полезно смотреть просто вверх.

כמעט יום חופש. שמים יפים - כחולים עם עננים.

לפעמים זה ממש כיף סתם להסתכל למעלה.

Almost a day off. Beautiful sky - blue with clouds.

Sometimes it's really fun to just look up.

Taken at The Eden Project

Found this tiny little treasure that was just so delicate.

Took me so long to get it on camera without shake and in focus that it caused others around me to notice. I looked round to find about twenty people trying to capture this beauty too. Embarassed, I made an exit and returned later, when they had all gone....:)

lo so, lo so. dovrei tagliare i capelli. dovrei smetterla di dire che la chioma riccia piace alle donne. la smetto. questa non è una foto, è un adichiarazione di intenti.

Nola framed through a roll of gaffer's tape.

A restoration project, coming up nicely.

This flower broke from a larger bouquet and it was so odd looking I had to save it.

I couldn't remember which way to turn out of the campground to get me back out to the road, but I could remember every turn to get me to my Grandparents' previous house even though I'd not been there since September 2007. Weird.

a little arch project we made at school this year...

well i know my visualisation skills are at the moment not the best but i like the project... and it's my design and so i'm happy hihi...

In the fridge.

Don't be surprised at the apparent lack of fruit and veg. It is in a different drawer.

Sunday, 3rd May 2015

Definitely my photo of the day. Even though I have absolutely no interest in sport it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement and joy of the parade along Lambton Quay (ie outside my office) as the All Blacks showed Wellington the Web Ellis Cup and Wellington showed how much they loved them.

It's bright in town but cold up on the hills. You can see the snow from my office window.

Thursday, 28th February 2019.

Easter is over, I'm back to work, and the first email I get from my boss is to let me know that the Fabric Warehouse has a pop up shop across the road from the office for the next two weeks with silks and woolens at $5 a metre and everything else at $3 per metre. You've got to like a boss like that. She makes all her own clothes and always looks fabulous.

I went over mid-afternoon and bought a few bits and will probably go back later in the week. I forgot to take a photo of the shop when I left (although I took several shots of fabric in there) so I took this on my way to the pub for the pub quiz.

Scanned with my A4 scanner/printer so I lost some of the edges.

The National STEM Guitar Project, in partnership with NSF Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Centers with funding provided through a grant from The National Science Foundation (#1304405), hosts innovative Guitar Building Institutes around the United States. The 5-day institutes, combined with additional instructional activities comprising 80 hours, provide faculty training on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for middle, high school, and post-secondary faculty. The institutes present and teach participants hands-on, applied learning techniques to help engage students and spark excitement for learning STEM subject matter.

Nationwide, there are increasing concerns from businesses about the supply of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics trained workers. Science and math test scores in the U.S. are among the lowest around the world.

The goal and objective of the STEM Guitar Building Institutes is to showcase a new way to present learning for students with applied methods.

When our lovely new sofa arrived, it made everything else look funny. That's the trouble with the nicest thing you own. One thing was that everything else looked about six inches too short, which seems easily solvable. Furniture risers are a thing, right? But, I dunno, have you seen them? They're stupid.

I was sort of obsessed with making it work. I mean you just need something hard that's six inches high! Then I need eight of those! I ended up with 45 books from the pulp pile at Random House. A bottle of school glue later, and everything looked funny but in a much nicer way.
