Another one! These are quite fun and I'm learning a lot in terms of processing. I always enjoy that!

Another very old Kodachrome slide from 1974. I shot this with my then "new" camera at the Lake Afton Grand Prix. The Lake Afton road course hosted Sports Car Club of America races for many years. Lake Afton is about 25 miles west of Wichita.

Year: 1974

Film: Kodachrome 25

Camera: Nikon Nikkormat EL

Lens: Nikkor 105mm 2.5

The Eden Project in Cornwall, England....Not a secret bunker where aliens are or out of this world experiments take place..... LOL

Here is the website of the The Eden Project. The place is well worth a visit. The Biodome you see here houses all sorts of tropical plants and the temperature in there is very hot. My lense steamed up as soon as I got in there. The other biodome (which is not pictured here but looks exactly the same), has a more mediterranean feeling to it.

Lewis and I did a little photoshop project. We each took the same 3 images and then did our own photoshopping to them....and here's how mine came out. :)

When you start a new project, just make sure that it brings you happiness and joy. Feel free to discard the ones that don't, without feeling guilty.

In early 2002, in a justified act of revenge, I stole my friend Andrea Zink's bra. You know, that fleshy, beige-coloured bra all girls own for under white or sheer tops.

I began a campaign to photograph as many friends, acquaintances and even family in the bra. Then I sent the photos to people I knew around the globe with as a postcard template which they printed out and mailed back to Andrea, convincing her that her bra was on a walkabout around the world—torturing her from each locale.

Andrea hated it. One day, figuring I must've been the cause of all this, she marched into my office and threw a particular postcard (#002 to be precise) at my head and yelled "Make it stop!"

I did not.

I did this for my students to demonstrate the project "Painting with Compliments." I used Ultramarine Blue and Azo orange, trying to mix a variety of grays, and using some pure color for contrast.

Il cambio di stagione

passava tra il filo

dell’orizzonte al mare

e i vestiti nell’armadio

che aspettavano di respirare.

Ma era bella l’estate

quando gli aquiloni

cadevano depressi

e verso sera le famiglie

passeggiavano strane.

Chi mangiava,

chi conversava,

che dipingeva d’azzurro la pareti;

altri, per lo più ragazzi,

spiavano le donne

darsi da fare

con i capelli ariosi.

E la vita scappava

tappandosi le orecchie

per non sentire

più lamentele

sul conto della morte.

Ciascuno a proprio modo

e sempre a cose fatte

si diceva felice,

ma nel dirlo sentiva

che non era tutto vero.

Tutto girava

intorno alla felicità

come chi cerchi

il sogno che gli sfugge

e nel dirlo s’accorge

che è tutta un’altra cosa.

E la stagione cambia

e si rimane in acqua

mentre fuori è già freddo

nel rosso della sera.

Liked the way the view through the peephole on the front door looked...nitty gritty and sort of grungy...

Last week I was asked with Smer of the Beijing ABS crew to paint a wall for a booth for the shanghai auto show for Tudou (a online web-media agency like youtube).

We were given one night to paint whatever we wanted and it was great. We improvised the whole thing making it up as we were going along and ultimatly had a great night ... and got the chance to size up the hot chicks and the great cars.

Cincinnati, OH. Caught on my way to choir rehearsal. 12 Feb 2009 Project 365. Happy birthday, Ruthy.

I'm very happy with this. It didn't completely turn out the way I had expected it to, but I really like the fact that I didn't edit anything on it except for doing the expansion and adding a slight vignette at the end. Oh and just that no one's confused - this isn't me, it's my little brother. He's quite cool.

On another note, I decided to start a 52 week project. I wanted to do something of the sort and I knew I would probably miserably fail at a 365. So here I am, starting this thing. I keep on getting inspired by all the work from you guys on here, it's awesome! And last but not least; I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! :) I hope 2013 will be a good year for all of you.
