08/17/09. I felt uninspired about my pictures today. Then I boosted the shadows on this picture and I felt inspired.

Not a huge success . Will have to return to the idea. Essentially trying to use off camera flash take a back lit image of something transparent. Ran into all sorts of problems with reflections. Hence the missing tip.

Part of a series of scanner art images for 'Without Lenses' project for art college. Useful project to be working on with only one arm in operational order!

Ottograph (Otto Kruijsen) bio:

Ottograph studied Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, but started making

street art when he was 10 years old.

Since then he made murals in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Berlin, Antwerp,

New York, Maui and Moskou. Ottograph has had exhibitions all over Europe,

and worked for clients like Greenpeace, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Mars, and Merecedes-Benz.

Alone, or together with friends, Ottograph has been responsible for very succesfull projects like: Supermart, Brown Bag Bulletin, CIA(Central Illustration Agency) and KMDG(Kwasten met de Gasten).

Ottograph, addicted to painting, needs to move massive amounts

of paint every day to keep himself happy. Ottograph soundbites:

'the bigger the brush, the better the painting' and: 'i have no further comments untill i've had contact with my lawyer'.

I'm using this photo to highlight a kitchen project, that's design, hand-making and then installing the kitchen. I've embedded a slideshow of photos in my blog so you can see how the project took shape.

After I started quilting, people started bringing me things to "finish" for them. This was a top made of swatches which was bought at a yard sale. I tied it. I can't stand working on old stuff that isn't mine.
