See it's like 'proJECT' like in to project something...but then it's also like 'PRAHject' like to work on a project.

I'm so clever.

Pebble Rocks Boulder, a hackathon you can get your hands on.

On Friday evening, seventy-five participants will gather in the beautiful offices of Galvanize Boulder. They will be given a theme, access to the Pebble Time, Lulzbot 3D printers, electronic components, and enough food and beer to power 48 hours of creative solution-building. On Sunday afternoon, teams will present their creations to the general public and a panel of judges, made up of tech agency professionals and delegates from local startup accelerators.

With support of Pebble interface design kits, Pebble in full attendance, and Boulder’s finest food and craft beers, the event will mark one of the first true 48-hour hackathons to take place above Boulder’s historic Pearl Street Mall. Given Pebble’s amazing success on Kickstarter.com, the thriving Boulder tech community, and participation from high-profile hardware manufacturer Lulzbot, there’s plenty of excitement around getting together to hack on hardware.

Pebble smartwatches are the smart choice.

Pebble is shaking up the world of wearables most recently with a giant (most successful ever) Kickstarter campaign earning nearly $20M in contributions. Pebble Rocks Boulder will introduce Pebble to local and national technology communities and give engineers a chance to discover Pebble’s true power and potential.

Viget and hardware, a perfectly built match.

Since 1999, Viget has been innovating on the web through smart development, design, and marketing. That tradition of innovation continues through Viget’s hardware efforts. In the past year, Viget has branched out into the physical realm with experiments like the Illumigami project.

Build better in Boulder.

Boulder, Colorado has a thriving tech scene and is home to some of the most forward-thinking startups and accelerators around. Boulder’s strong sense of community and drive make it an ideal place for developers, engineers, and tinkerers to gather to do great things together. Plus the views aren’t too bad.

Projecto Rede Europeia de Formação Profissional.

Drunk. Like, seriously drunk. Two pints at the meadery really messed me up this particular Friday. So, I went to IHOP to eat and wait to un-drunk. Classy, right? Oy. But seriously, two pints?!

World Chambers Congress Day 3: Best Unconventional Project: World Chambers Competition

The Farmworker Immersion Project placed students in the community to learn about farmworker rights and immigration issues. The students were guided through a first-hand experience of farm work life. They visited a local berry farm and learned about the agricultural business, then worked in the field and harvested berries.

MISFITS - "Lost In Space"

go!

of all the things they taught you

i'm telling you this, son

all the wars fought before won't compare to this one

giant spiders prepare to take over

here comes another

mutant suicide-squad

you blast them out

but now you're way off course

you start to shiver and shake

i'm calling you, Houston

am i following....

all the right leads?

or am i about to get

lost in space?

when my time comes

they'll write my destiny

will you take this ride?

communication's lost

we crash to the earth

too late to see the giant

spider monster giving birth

the future is here...

and here is the future

am i following....

all the right leads?

or am i about to get

lost in space?

when my time comes

they'll write my destiny

will you take this ride with me?

Postcards for PDX memory championship competition.

designs are made for general audience, highly intelligent people who have confidence in their memorization skills.

The design of the brains conveys intelligence, scientific, and the letters within the brains helps the viewers get the sense of "memory" and how the brains works. The part i enjoyed the most was the color process, my design was pretty much dialed in before the coloring process so, it was fun to see all the different variations i could make.

only thing i wish i could've done was creating words or a message with in the letters inside of brains, that would make a good little bonus for the people who pays extra attentions to my work.

I'm putting together a project for 50 4h kids ages 8 to 18. I hope they like this card. I need different ink (this stuff smears) and we're good to go.

This is Geer. She and her friend Loes (stranger #19) walk their dogs together almost every day. For years, we've passed each other several times a week at the small lake Klinkenbergerplas (the Netherlands). Today I realized that we once started out as strangers to each other, who occasionally halted for a quick and friendly chat, and that our connection therefore is examplary for this project's goal. That's why I've finally actually asked their names and taken their picture.

Geer's dog is only 8 years old, but already greyish strikes appear on his brown-and-white snout. Other than dogs, Geer's also interested in birds and she knows quite a lot about them. Almost every time I saw a water bird floating around on the lake's surface that I just couldn't place, she was able to tell me exactly what it was.

Thank you Geer for being my 18th 'stranger' ;-) and we'll see each other even more often now that the weather's slowly but surely becoming more friendly.

This picture is #18 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers @ www.100strangers.com

March 17 77/365 you cant tell but this is a yellow crowned heron

Around this time next year everyone in my office block will be moving to a different office block. I thought it would be interesting to photograph the view from the window on the first working day of each month between now and then. Although I started back at work last week I only thought of it today so this is my March shot. I didn't want to wait until April because, as you can see, we are about to lose the view because of the building going up. Last year a building was dismantled from the same place so the view is relatively new.

Flame project is an international US-Cambodia collaboration expedition that seeks to understand water quality from Laos to the Vietnam Border. The team is studying the health of the river, water quality, mercury, plastic pollution, greenhouse gases (methane carbon dioxide) that are important for climate change. The project is led by Dr. Sudeep Chandra, professor of the University of Nevada Reno and member of the Wonders of the Mekong team. The FLAME project was started on 18 February 2022 by boat from Phnom Penh along Bassac River to the Vietnam border and back, and the next day from Phnom Penh along the Mekong River to the Vietnam border and back. From 20-26 February 2022 we are going upstream from Phnom Penh getting through Kampong Cham, Kratie provinces, and finishing at the Onlong Chheur Teal dolphin pools near the Lao border in Stung Treng Province.
